Bolg:
Thanx Kera foehunter, that could look very nice, but i’ll have to continue that hairy look trough my entire army, and it a bit late for that.
I Just got my hands on this:
10 complete horses and some chaos shields and bits! and as I love the centaurs so much, i’m gonna make me a second unit (and a bigger hero).
will make more process pics this time (:
And I also got my hands on this:
A Lamasu with no head. and i’ve got great plans (great plans in my book).
Bolg:
Oh look, I made 3 already:
(but the 3dr picture came up a blur so you see only 2 and neither you or I are crazy)
This time I made enough pictures to write a half decent tutorial, Is there anybody interested?
Unfortunately I only had 3 unpainted slayers left. so now there are 7 painted slayers swimming in thinner as I write this. Still got 12 painted left for in my dwarf army. i’m not found of repainting good mini’s but as always i’m on a budget.
Loki:
Great work once again Blog, i am looking forward to seeing what you do with the Lamasu body dont keep us waiting to long
furrie:
He will turn it in to a flying bullcentaur
and nice work on the bullcentaurs blog. The have a realy smooth transition between the upper body and the lower body.
Bolg:
Thanx furrie
2nd centaur unit is 9 man strong, need 2 more models for a army Battle standard and one extra for the unit.
work on the lamasu isnt started jet…
Kera foehunter:
so what did you do with the slayer bottom half??
Bolg:
@ Kera foehunter
they go in the bits box, never throw anything away. (I used one set of shoes for my lord on taurus)
Today I discovered that some of the slayers I used to make the centaur are 3rd edition dwarfs, now I feel a bit bad. I cut up very old minies for my conversion. If i had known they where that old I wouldn’t have destroyed them. The only thing I can do now is paint them very well…
please dont hate me.
dncswlf:
Hey, don’t think of it as destroying them… just putting them to new use! It is tough to modify something that seems classic… but hey, if you have a use for it, go for it! can’t wait to see the finished products!
Bolg:
Thanx dncswlf, still feel a bit bad but I never plan on selling anyways.
Here are 8 of the nine that are now finished:
I had some complains that my centaur hero didnt stand out enough (no wonder id you build the complete unit out of Giant slayers) so I made a second hero (top left) so I can swap both hero’s from the units, will make it more obvious. I’m still adding a bit of armour to his body but I already thing he’s very hero like, he’s waving a freaking anvil as heavy weapon!
Bottom right is the last Giant slayer I had, he was going to be the next hero but I like anvil dude better so I gave him a banner pole (banner will come later) I plan to use him as my centaur BSB later.
That reminds me, he has to be finished by tomorrow evening, ill better get started than.
Loki:
Awesome work Bolg they look totally ace really like the guy with the anvil as a great weapon great use of the iron breakers standard top, i have one of them laying around so will have to put to good use
Bolg:
Thanx Loki, you recognized the iron breakers standard top. I removed it from my Obsidians/Iron breakers as I like all(most) my banner tops to be hammers. (the 3dr edition plastic one from the army kid with loads of different troops in it)
Borador:
DUDE! EPISCH! ((translation: Dude! Epic!))
Truely amazing =]
Zanko:
I must agree with the other guys!
Really awesome work - just stunning! :cheers
Now I’m eager to see them painted! Will you choose the same paint scheme which you used by your 1st Centaurs?
My favourite mini is the left lower one!
:hashut
Kera foehunter:
@ Kera foehunterLol !! we don't hate you for that !!

Bolg:
Thanx everyone (:
@ Borador
mijn dank is groot (My Thanx is great)
@Zanko
will paint then roughly the same as the other unit yes. and I know what you mean, he’s just slowly advancing with that great hammer, not something you wanna face on the battlefield (:
@Kera
Thanx, I feel a bit better now. but dont you cut up too many oop’s yourself, I stillm think its a bit of blasphemy.
3 models are undercoated as we speak, I was planning to paint them tonight but then a friend called me an challenged me to a game…
more pic’s when they get finished but i’ve got another itch that needs scratching… recently I tried bidding on a swivel gun, but they are insanely expensive, only got my hand on one of the crew. but a swivel gun isnt that difficult to build from scratch I think. will give it a try soon ( sorry lamasu project is moved back a bit)
Bolg:
I’m so happy, just got my hands on this model:
I think its a 40K squat (not sure) my local ‘GW’ shopkeeper showed it to me while I was playing a friendly game in the store. I reacted a bit to enthusiastic but still only payed , 3 for it. I’m going to convert it to the coolest blunderbuss champion ever (that could double for a hero with the hailfire gun from the Indy list).
So much to do and so little time…
Borador:
wow! nice mini! show us what it will look like after you’re done with him =D
looking forward to seeing him finished!
And about the time issue: just keep on working at the same speed, you’ll make it =]
Bolg:
Thanx! Will do (:
