Loki:
Great find Blog thats a cool model, i got my hands on a squat model last week when rooting through my stores bits box, just had to paint one up as they look cool
Bolg:
@ Loki Tjup Dont you just love that helmet! screw tall heads I want all my heros to have helmets like that!
@ Hazkar I plan to give him a very cool gun, will have to look through my bits box for that (a little busy coming weeks so will take longer than expected)
I want him to have a cool pose but also have a good range of weapon options (greatweapon/ shield) dot know it that’ll work but I’ll give it a try.
Borador:
Pinning the arms and then glueing the pin to only 1 part of it might work, or maybe even using a small magnet/magnetic pin could do the trick if you would want him to be able to swap weapon sets.
Looking forward to seeing what he will look like when finished =]
:cheers
Bolg:
@ Borador I’ve seen stunning work been done with magnets. but that is a bit to tricky for me, =pinning not gluing is an option butthat makes converting really hard.
I came op with a conversion that works well (he is only missing a shield, and I got bases with shield on them for characters like him)
I found a left arm of a questing knight in my bits box and i really liked his pose if he would me carrying it over his shoulder along wit a blunderbuss.
his right arm is the shoulder of a plastic dwarf arm (I think /5th6th ed.) and his hand came from the new dwarf thunderers. I extended the dwarf pistol using the plastic dark elf musicians horn. now it has to dry so i can finis sculpting his right arm.
Loki:
Awesome work Blog he looks ace Cant wait to see this guy painted up
Borador:
WOW
that is sooooooooo awesome! Wish I had a mini like that
keep it up!
Zanko:
Your “prussian” dwarf is ace! :hat off
Now I’m expectant to see the mini painted!
:hashut
Bolg:
Thanx guys! I will most definitely paint him a.s.a.p. when the sculpting is done and dry.
Bassman:
I would preferred the left arm down, not raised. In front of the belly. As now he looks too much “en pose”. Sorry for my bad English…
Said this, he is really cool. Who cannot love prussian dwarfs?
Snotling:
Vorzüglich! :hat off
But I agree with Bassman, this pose looks too dynamic and barbarian, you should give him the noblesse and conservative arrgance of a prussian general.
Bolg:
@ Bassman + Snotling. well I could still change the model, but the miliput (some detail and a arm) is drying as we speak. I thought of posting a sketch of my idea before I went to work. I should have done that so I could have used some of the feedback… next time.
dncswlf:
I think its perfect. like he’s weighing his options… do I wanna slice this enemies head off, or shoot him in the face kinda pose! nice!
Snotling:
It was just an idea, he looks good right now, too ^^
Bolg:
Still working on the blunderbuss hero but for the tournament net weekend I needed a centaur BSB so I painted him first.
Here he is:
Quite happy how he came out, glad I got my hands on some of those chaos chains.
[edit]And a question, is the Eruption Gun a move or fire weapon?[/edit]
Bolg:
Just to prove I’m still painting, just not that fast as at the start of this blog.
Another centaur for the 2nd unit and I finally finished those 2 Black orcs that haven been 90% painted for weeks now.
I’m so torn in what to paint next. so many things lined up, and I also want to try 20 hobgobs with handweapon shield on the battlefield so I need to convert those and I thought it might be cool to field a unit of BigUns along side the Black orcs. I think I got the models mo make a unit of 15-20 guys, should be cool on the battlefield (less animosity cos of the black orcs).
Da Crusha:
cool army blog bolg, I really like your army. the bull centaurs look really good and I like that you used the king thorgrim model, I got one laying around here somewhere. good luck at your tournament.
Bolg:
Thanx. I’ll post the results of the tournament in my armylist tread.
Loki:
Great work once again Blog, the army is really coming together now, really like the BSB great use of the old chaos warrior shoulder pad as a armoured plate on the front keep the great work coming
Borador:
Nice work mate
I really like your colourscheme, looks very good and really brings it together or something, dunno how they say it
Keep it up!
