well, I just like hidden faces :) and with scarfs they also lean on my Blunderbussers. I will paint the clothes in different colours, in brown and grey-tones, maybe sometimes in a grey-green. Their clothes should look dirty and... like rags shpudl look like ^^
...by the way, the scarfs and hoods would look much better if I would had my clay shaper at the time I made them... clay shapers for the win! ^^
Snotling
I was thinking of these in all sorts of colours for my archers just because it would be fun to paint ;P but indeed, their clothes should look dirty in my opinion aswell, looking forward to seeing them painted =]
cool paintjob on that mini snot! The scarf pattern indeed works pretty well on white, but IMO it looks pretty awesome on your mini aswell, only visible if you take a close look.
I was stay in Mongolia and their colour preference is red.
Rhazzouth
And they would look probably nice in red and red is also my army colour (in some way... ^^), But when I paint red, it looks most time pretty clean and bright. I wand my archers in dusty dirty colours. Now that you mentioned that... I really should think about the colours, at least a little red would be good. On the other hand, the Sooties are no regular part of a CD army, they are an allied tribe (Fluff stuff, whatever :)), so no red could simbolive their seperation from my army.
And without red, they would look more Steampunk, Imho :)
I just finished my second CD sorcerer. I made two, one for the GH and⦠another one. I build them together, but then my time ran out and I had to decide which one I will paint to send him to the GH. This little fella lose :). Now that I finished him, I pretty happy with my decision because compared to the other one, he looks kind of boring⦠not many colours and stuff. But for the mini it is pretty cool, he is an engineer and the colour sheme represents that pretty well, looks kind of materialistic and industrial⦠imho.
Well okay, as you see, he is made of the BfSP engineer. I wanted to convert him since I made my shadow sorcerer, but the ideas were loked in my head and I didnāt really know how to convert him exactly. But this is what I love about the Golden Hat, it made me think about this mini more than before and I finally did it. In the end, Iām happy with the result, he is far away from being my personal favourite, but I like him. And he is definately the most steampunky CD I made till now! YAY! :hat off
The white stuff is plasticard, the green stuff is Green Stuff, his hand from the Hellcannon Crew and the bags and tools on his back were from the Miners.
He is a Metal Lore sorcerer, an Arcane Engineer or a Deamonsmith.
'nuff said, there he is:
Comments welcome⦠thatās why I post him here :hat off
Heās cool, Im not a fan of the face maskes on CDs but other than that its ace! The bulls head gives him chatacter, and the painting is really nice too. Actually it only makes me looking forward to the revealing of the GHXI entrys even moreā¦
Your work never ceases to amaze me, he looks great I really like the iron bull head staff that looks really cool, if you say this one looks boring compared to your golden hat entry I cant wait to see the one you entered
Oh, you can paint like me, Itās all about practise and I am still not that hardcore like some of the guy at cool mini or not ^^. I promise I will make some turtorials, then you can see that itās not that difficult ^^. I think during the work on my second BB unit a step-by-step turtorial is possible, but before I need some warmachines and maybe some wolf riders. But I can make a metal turtorial when I paint my Death Rocket.
