[Archive] Nappos Chaos Dwarfs

nappo:

Hello everyone!

Since ForgeWorld released those fantastic new miniatures and rules I had to start an army of these guys.

In my blog I want to show my progresses.

This is what I have done until now:

These are my latest WIP´s:

Daemonsmith:

Drazoath the Ashen on Cinderbreath:

I hope you like what you see. I would be grateful for any feedback!

The next planned miniatures are finishing the Infernal Guard to 33 (28 at the moment) and Hobgoblin Wolfraiders made of Goblin Wolfriders and Gnoblars and few Chaos bits.

Cheers,

Nappo

Beautiful work on those. Clean lines. Big fan of the light sourcing on the Taurus, too.

Stepper:

Very, very nice work here!!!

I’ll be checking this blog from now on

Ciao,

Stepper

brotsorrow:

Great colour scheme. I agree with all the previous posters on their comments! Fantastic work. I love the coppery armour on the taurus. What colour(s) did you use to accomplish it?

Thank you (all!) for the compliments.:hat

For the Bale Taurus I used Leadbelcher, washed it with Devlan Mud and Carroburg Crimson and highlighted it with Leadbelcher again.

nappo:

Thanks for all the feedback!

@Animatone: This is my blog

Yesterday I bought a box of nightgoblins to convert them to Hobgoblins.

This is my first attempt, still not finished. I will have to flatten the legs:

Still not sure what to do with the shield. Maybe add a bull´s head!?

Also today in the morning I finished Drazoath but didn´t take a picture. I will post a proper one today in the evening.

Next week I will also make some Hobgoblin Wolfraiders with the Fenrisian Wolves from the Space Wolfs.

So long :hat off,

Nappo

what were the colour schemes for your 2 units of ig?

For the Silver ones it was:
Basecoat Silver: Aluminium (Vallejo Air Color)
Then shaded with Smoke from Vallejo Model Color and Dark Sea Blau (also VMC) and Chaos Black.
The Bronze was made with a base coat of Screaming Bell, then highlight with Hashut Copper, then highlighted with Golden Griffon, washed with Devlan Mud and highlighted the edges with Mithril Silver.
The Chainmail was painted with Aluminium, then washed with Smoke & Badab Black for the Bronze Warriors and washed with high diluted Bestial Brown & Badab Black for the Silver ones.

Hi everyone!

I just finished Darzoath, Cinderbreath is still in progress:

And some new pics of my Hobbos:

Drazoath is amazing. Not that sure about the Hobbo though, the legs really look too long compared to the arms

This is actually a second version. The first version had even longer legs :D
Maybe the legs seem so long because the arms are bent:question:

Thorin:

Really nice paintjob, gratz:hat off

Dezmord:
