Canix:
Interesting blurb June release including a book titled soldiers of the empire warhammer uniform guide:o
Kera foehunter:
Yea more pirates!!! at least there getting better looking archers
Allanp:
i do like the archers.
but i dont know where they are going with the appearance of the empire. when i started they were very imperial with puffy sleeves. but now they are completely different. you probs wouldnt recognise them as being the same if you were starting now.
Khan!:
All-plastic empire is good news for Mordheim fans! I quite like the archers and the greatswords both. That empire warrior uniform guide sounds absurd, however.

That empire warrior uniform guide sounds absurd, however.I was a bit perplexed by that as well. Surely the Empire army book and Sigmar's Heirs have enough info between them?
Khan!

ooo, havent seen the archers before, not bad.
The Greatsword standard would make a great army standard bearer
clam:
Wow! The archers/huntsmen look nice.
Btw: Have anyone seen any previews of romoured Marius Leitdorf and the two other characters?

I can’t describe it, but with the baby-like (chubby, thick and stout) proportions of all warhammer human figures, there is something so very cute about them. The greatswords are “adorable”. These are little people, they should have a cuteness factor, dwarves do especially. I’m a fan.

Ugh. If they ever get around to CDs, I really do hope they go to Forgeworld. I guess I’ll never understand the appeal of plastic miniatures, they all look pretty dreadful to me.
The plumed hats to look nice, at this distance.
Swissdictator:
I like the new huntsmen, they’re kinda cool.
The better picture of the Greatswords addresses some of my worries about the new great Swords, but I’m still partial to the current metal ones. I’ve not really been impressed by the new Empire line except for the Flaggellants.
CheTralfara:
What are your worries?
I think they look a bit stiff the way they are holding their weapons… it just looks a little unnatural… the metal greatswords look much more in a lively realistic action pose… but I think the new greatswords are better clothed and make better miniatures in general from a painting and fun to look at stand-point. However like I said… they are bubblier and chubbier and look like big baby people to an extent… just an to an extent.

Ubertechie:
They look pretty good to me and my son is happy as he wont now have to fork out a fortune to add a unit of Greatswords to his Empire army.
The Archers look pretty nice as well - I have always thought that they were an underrated detachment - maybe with nicer new models they will get used more frequently
Swissdictator:
Ubertechie: As someone who enjoys playing Empire, I would love to field 2 units of the guys in an Empire army someday. Though, I do love the unit gameplay wise. Icon of Magnus on a priest in GS is FUN!
Che: My worries are mainly I don’t like the newer style. I can’t emphasize enough how much I hated the new state troops.
Ubertechie:
Swiss
They are not a bad unit and one of the few units in the empire list that can reliably generate kills without a charcher to babysit them
Kera foehunter:
nice paint job on the Marius figure!! i wish i could paint that good
wallacer:
I didn’t think they were too bad. My main quibble with them is the curvy swords, which I always associate with Indian culture (wrongly, probably).
I would imagine that making and maintaining swords like that would actually be kind of impractical.
two_heads_talking:
I like 'em … I like 'em all.
