I think like almost everyone else, I love these models. I just recieved my bulk order of models on Monday! Wish I had known these were coming, South Korea is a long way from the UK…
My one disappointment with these characters, none come with shields.
I can’t wait to paint the guy on the left, I’m guessing he’s the Castellan? Although, none of these models look similar to the Castellan in the Infernal Guard command. Any idea what kind of head he’s holding in his hand?

Knight Of Awsome
I also like that guy, he's different enough from the Daemonsmiths and yet still very much in the new direction of chaos dwarves. As to the head, I assumed it was the head of a sorcerer that had fully turned to stone, but not sure.
I'm wondering if I could get away with saying that head is the banner on a BSB Castellan? Save me chopping up one of those wonderful miniatures to convert one.

A battle standard doesn't necessarily have to be a banner, it could be a trophy, pay chest or something similar that the troops rally round. So the severed head of a powerful enemy could probably do just as well.
The apron gives away the daemonsmith. I mean everything about it screams daemonsmith. The other two are harder to tell apart at first glance, but the feature that makes it clear to me is the outstretched arm with hand raised. It makes perfect sense for a sorcerer-prophet who would be casting a spell. The face of the sorcerer-prophet looks like he’s halfway stone as well. The model also looks quite similar to the sorcerer on pg.170 of Tamurkhan. Though going by the fluff wouldn’t we expect a more disfigured face on the castellan? I was under the impression that castellans are drawn from the ranks of infernal guard. Perhaps my eyes arent sharp enough to pick up on those details on the model though.
Anyway, all three are great and i’ll be picking them up soon!
I emailed Forge World yesterday asking for clarification on which is which since everyone seems to have a different opinion. They havent replied yet but ill post their reply as soon as i get it. My set was dispatched this morning so i expect it monday and ill try and do another unboxing video.
No, JamesR has it right. Left to right it’s Castellan, Daemonsmith, Sorcerer-Prophet. I’m not sure why anyone would be confused by that. Middle one’s visibly an engineer, one on the right’s casting a spell and the one on the left, by a process of elimination, is a warrior.
Mine have also been dispatched. Looking forward to finishing work on Monday now!
As a side note, I’ll be interested to speak to the FW guys at the open day and find out how well the chaos dwarf range has been selling for them. This could give us an idea of how likely they are to include the K’Daai and centaurs in the Monstrous Arcana book, with accompanying miniatures.
Sadly shipping (express) to my country costs as much as the 3 models, so I guess I’ll have to risk normal shipping or wait for the bull centaurs & K’Daais and do a bulk order.
