A Techmarine squad would have been better for a new infantry unit, or preferably a Tactical Squad with large shields.

gashnag:
Terminator armour is tactical deadnaught armour is that non-tactical dreadnought armour
Kera foehunter:
Yawn hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Goltor Lintrepide:
My god, I tought nothing could be uglier than the Dreadknight. Games Workshop proves me wrong again, well done sires, well done. :hat off
Hashut’s Blessing:
It looks like they’re trying to create a smaller target dreadknight style exo-skeleton armour. but it looks like they’re wearing armour in their armour. The concept isn’t great, but it could’ve been executed so much better and I don’t really see their purpose (beyond moar monehz!!1!)…
snowblizz:
Not to mention one has to wonder where Terminator armour is supposed to sit now. The incredibly ancient, irreplaceable, precious best armour evvar produced. But no btw we had these armour in armour suits all along.
2) These guys are supposed to sit between Terminator armour and Dreadnoughts. But the whole idea of a Dreadnought is that the suit is simply too big for a living Space Marine to operate. It isn't physically possible to control a machine so powerful without hard-wiring the pilot in, so they only use mortally wounded warriors. If you can edge up to that power level with an ordinary suit, it just becomes pointless to put nearly-dead guys in these things. They rob the Dreadnought concept of its power just by existing.

Well, even if i do think they seem to be silly, i always prefer to not judge too hardly simply with a few pictures.
Seeing the model in real, or at least from various angles, can make the opinion change about it.
Right now i see interesting things on the heavy support version, while the close combat still makes me wonder how such a sculpting could turn in something nice.
As an old Space Marine player, i’m looking forward to see them in real, but i must admit i’m quite afraid…
At least the new tank is nice, and the plastic sternguards and vanguards are great. Too bad i won’t buy them since i already have enough with the old ones.
But the really great point is : Orks have now plastic Meganobz, do they ?

It’s like when they take an existing toy and make it chunkier for toddlers so that under-threes can’t break it or swallow parts.
Abecedar:
Someone said that the point flaring out shoulder pads are back in fashion… and here they are
Admiral:
It's like when they take an existing toy and make it chunkier for toddlers so that under-threes can't break it or swallow parts. They are essentially Duplo Marines?

They are essentially Duplo Marines? You have just named them that in my mind, so that is what I will call them from now on.

gIL^:
I think they will go well with the Lego Space Marine line.
Bloodbeard:

Oh but I do love the Space marine lego's! wonder how long it takes for someone to bring a complete army to a tournament d:Heres a few more Picks.

And while I’m complaining, the following has been bothering me. What’s more reasonable, anti-aircraft missiles in the Whirlwind or completely new Rhino variant noone has ever heard of before that’s totally been there since forevvarz. One of them might not require a new model though…
Admiral:
I always thought the Whirlwind served as an AA-gun. The anti-aircraft version of the new tank looks a tad bland, but the other big gun version is lovely.
Goltor Lintrepide:
Not Space Marines again!! F... ..f!It's exactly what I'm thinking too
That's still the reason why I can't stand 40K. Too many Space Marines.

Ditto. I can hold my disbelief in check in order to play fantasy, as there are some aspects of the fantasy that you need to accept and move on from, while other aspects of the fantasy realm still adhere to what we understand to be physical limitations and laws. The whole premise of the 40K universe and the unending masses of Space Marines that die without end seems totally stupid given the apparent investment required to 'mature' them, and then the precious nature of tech and Terminator armour that is expended ad nauseum in total disregard of the fluff. It's just those little bits of the details that are badly organized and poorly thought out in terms of longevity. Where does all of these space marines come from? Where is all of their tech and machines coming from? Where does their food and fuel come from? For Pete's sake, even trying to imagine the Warhammer Fantasy realm in terms of a sustainable biosphere in terms of population numbers between races is a stretch. 40K is 40K times more inane. Don't get me wrong... this has nothing to do with game play. I'd probably like playing 40K if I could get over myself. Not Space Marines again!! F... ..f!It's exactly what I'm thinking too
