I only hope that it won`t be a design nightmare. Plastic quantity is not necessarily followed by quality. I would prefer normal sized models with unique designs the would fit better in most armies and you can play them as "normal" generals or heroes.
Ive always thought of that Khorne beast to represent the one thats in the background of the cover on the old 4th ed chaos box. Me and my brother owned the box and I always thought the artwork was really cool.
The illustration on the book cover is the Epic Chaos Demon Engine, the Khorne Lord of Battle. Chaos had some really kickass Demon Engines in Epic like the Brass Scorpion and the Khorne Cannon, Cauldron Of Blood, Tower of Skulls, Blood reaper and Doom Blaster. That and the Banelord Titan and the Primarchs gave Chaos a really nice army in Epic. Its a shame Forgeworld only ever managed to make the Brass Scorpion really. Man I miss Epic, I hope they bring it back one day. And I agree GW’s 40k version of the Lord of Battle is a bit Cheeseballs. Armourcast made some but they were pretty clumsy big things.
So I think you get 13 torso and 5 legs, enough bits to make quite a few complete bodies with more legs. I’m thinking of trying that instamould thing out. The legs should be ok to cast as they are not overly detailed.
Plus its nurgle so it wouldn’t look too bad if it comes out rubbish!!
FW should make some ‘mounted legs’ for these guys and some gribblies for them to ride.
