Good idea with the individual slots for the miniatures in the movement tray. Those RA dwarfs aren’t easy to rank up. This will become a very nice little force.

I agree about the RA stuff being a little difficult to rank up and it’s the main reason I chose to use individually slotted trays. I think if I had tried to base them in close-order on 20mm bases they would have looked too crowded.

As promised a unit of “Half-breeds”. I quite liked doing these as thaey have lots of fiddly small details on them.
I’m working long shifts at the moment so it might be a little while before I start any more.

I despise the look of the Mantic Halfbreeds (the torsos just bother me). Yours, however, are painted so very well that not only does that hatred go away, but I wish I could do that. Very nicely done! Your entire army to this point is great!
I’m also glad to see someone else using Dragon Rampant. I’ve been dabbling as I work on other projects, but it is a very versatile system.

Thank you all for your comments. I’m not overly convinced with the half-breeds and may eventually buy some Forge World bull centaurs…
Next up some “Lesser” golems from Mantic. Not the best sculpts but I quite enjoyed painting these.
These will be fielded as a “Greater War Beast” unit which will make them hard hitting and able to soak up some punishment.

I’m currently waiting for some more bits to arrive. I have decided to buy some more RA Chaos Dwarfs to replace the units of Mantic Abyssals on my work desk and have ordered some Mantic Brock Riders for some ferocious Chaos Dwarf Badger Beserkers (… say that 10 times fast…). Also a siege giant and some artillery is in the pipeline.

Beautiful golems! I really do love these Mantic miniatures (I have them in my army too), great to see others adding them to their forces as well. The contrast in colors is quite the eye catching scheme…and I like how you changed the arm positions too.
