…I still feel kinda meh about them. The more I look at the models the more they feel like Ogres with bull legs. I was TOTALLY expecting something like the BC artwork on the Tamurkhan book. Maybe you can fix it just by adding some armor or mustache to the models but still… They lack the “CD feel” to me! Something that differentiates us from WoC. I don’t mind base size but the aesthetic just doesn’t make it IMO.

Same here, I’m just not convinced as yet, but I’d like to see more shots of the models. The base size though, the base size makes my head hurt. I was all set to start converting a unit from Avatars of War dwarf berserkers and savage orc boars (yes, boars, the eldest among you may remember it was boars before bulls…) but now they would seem kind of small on 50x75 bases. Hmm.

I was soooo close to buying some black orcs to convert into BC’s. nearly did it the other day. Now I’ll be stopping that idea. I thought about using the boars too. Nice and dynamic.

Overall I like these as models, they are far too big imo. I'm torn actually, because even though I'm sure I could come up with something I like better I will probably buy these at some point anyway...
When I finally get some free time again I will have a go, now that I can see what their vision is.

Nice solution, means you could use them as halfbreed cavalry for kings of war too, if the need took you. I'll be doing the very same thing with my destroyer and hellcannon. I based my destroyer back when it was called a Kolossus, so it's currently on a 60x100 base, and the hellcannon now comes with a 100x150...

I’m torn on whether to adjust my 50mm square spacers that I made for my BCs on cavalry bases or to make completely new ones. Since I never got much further than cutting and gluing the thick card I don’t have to worry about retexturing or anything.
I was soooo close to buying some black orcs to convert into BC’s. nearly did it the other day. Now I’ll be stopping that idea.They won’t be all that bad. Black orcs are pretty wide, so the width would not be an issue at all - they just won’t be bunched up together (and I had issues with my GW big hat BCs on cav bases). The depth just gives you more room to play with in making each model unique.

I’m thoroughly PO’d at the lack of command and great weapons (more GW than command as standard bearer would be easier to convert from GW). I really don’t like converting FW models because of the cost and detail level of the miniatures. My work just looks like shoddy tack-ons. Not to mention the arms will need completely repositioning to even work, I wanted to buy these at games day but I will probably have to wait to see how other people manage converting em before I decide whether to fork out for em or not. I’d rather pay an extra tenner for a conversion kit ith GW arms than convert em myself!

Incase nobody has mentioned it yet, I think the current White Dwarf makes it clear they will be for sale at GD UK. It says they will be at games day, so presumably with the 3 month confirmation that settles it.
