Was just checking the forge world website and found out that the Tamurkhan book is not going to be reprinted and fewer than 250 books are in stock. It’s not a big surprise after they discontinued Monstrous Arcanum but still a shock for all those chaos dwarf players out there.
Lucifer, that might actually happen if the Codex rain in 40k touches fantasy… Time for mail writing.
Edit. Quick E-mail, signed by yours truly:
Hi, I (and my brother) am a long-time customer of yours, particularly everything Dwarf-related. Normally I like to share some praise when in contact with GW/FW, but time is short.
I write to you on the subject of a Chaos Dwarf army book. With the discontinuation of Tamurkhan by Forgeworld, it seems likely that Chaos Dwarfs will once again sink back from the officially recognized armies. Whether that happens sooner or later matters little. As long as there are no official army list available, this will eventually happen.
I for one would buy a Chaos Dwarf army book. With the recent rain of Ipad codices for 40k, this doesn’t seem as remote a possibility as it once did, though I stress I would prefer it available in paper since I don’t own an Ipad.
On tournaments you often see more CD players than Beastmen players, and the latter have a mostly-plastic range. The popularity of Chaos Dwarfs speak for itself, so it would be sound to keep it alive by rules support. And maybe, just maybe, new background and models.
i added an addenum to my last Email to them on the subject, the reply stated that they would pass on my email to the design team … if we can get enough, and with plenty of sacrifice ti o the mighty Hashut then, we msy get lucky!
I’m not surprised at all. I want to see if anything is done with CD’s in 9th edition. If not I may just stick with collecting and forego playing. Too bad b/c I was really wanted to start gaming again.
CDs are popular at least on Swedish tournaments. I’m sure you’ll be able to play with them for many years to come, especially if the CD community remains strong and influences tournament organizers to allow them.
Aren’t Ravening Hordes more like 15 years old by now?
I wouldn’t wait too long with buying what I wanted from FW if I didn’t run on a student economy currently.
As such, please buy as much Warhammer Fantasy as you can from FW, good people, because that may convince them the range is profitable and make them keep it in production until I’m on an ordinary job economy again.

An army booklet/army list from GW. If we have to pay money for it, it will probably be worth the effort for them. They’ve already put out lots of mini-codices for 40k, so why not one for Fantasy as well? If it is digital it won’t even take up shelf space.
Even a shoddy army list would sell. It could mostly just be a copy-paste botch-up between Legion of Azgorh and 4th ed. Chaos Dwarfs.
