Obsidian:

She looks like my old landlady, lol! :stuck_out_tongue:

She has a stern face and although looking a bit angry I clearly see it’s female. Nice work so far.

Gar Shadowfame:

Very kool, to be honest absolutely amazing.

Will stay modest with clothing and armor or add more oppulent decorations?

Baggronor:

Lmao, that should change once I've added the blunderbuss. At least I hope so :)

I will add some ornamentation to the shoulder plates and some extra things here and there (skulls, runes and ammunition pouches, etc) and their weapons will be cool-looking,

Gar Shadowfame:

I tend to agree since many GW models are terrible because of ornaments, but how about adding fur to the coat, so it looks luxurious, chaos or not dwarfs like wealth.

It suddenly got to me - that this isn't the Icon bearer but the new overlord :D He is definitely you best sculpt till now (IMO) - simply just awesome.
Not very ladylike, but you wouldn't say it to her face:

Baggronor
Great sculpt, but do she look awful? - if you know what I mean. Definitely not a girl I would ask for a date :D

And then I'll be looking forward see the Icon Bearer up close :D

(And the BB in the background is one of my plastic conversions)

The command will be posted once they actually have heads ;P

Bassman:

Wow, fantastic again. I love how the green stuff is clean and smooth. You really have professional skills.

Your new dwarf is great I like the shoulder guards and plate armor. Great design. My only complain is the lack of moustaches… but each its own. At least if I ever buy (waiting for more minis) your great sculpts, I’d convert them with moustaches

About the lady: she could not be the winner of the school beauty contest but she’s a great dwarf…ess

It’s so difficult to design a proper she-dwarf and you managed to do it.

Her hair it’s great too…

You've done some amazing work so far. I agree with Clam.. this sculpt just looks amazing. Obviously your artistic skills translate very well from one media type to another. I may have to tape my trembling 'purchase' fingers down to a brick instead of having them sit on my mouse... who knows what they might do on the loose with this guy out there. He'll look great holding a small version of a blunderbuss at the end of that extended arm ;)

Got any GS tips for the rest of us plebs? Things like what consistency the GS should be, do you use water on your tools, etc etc. My GS work never turns out as smooth as it seems a lot of people's done (like yours).

Is it just me or are the new dwarf lord and the dwarfess look very much like the denonsmith and his sister in law from the comic like thing in the word of hashut?

Uh...yeah: that's probably because Baggronor is the artist.

that explains it all

Xander:

Nice observation though, that odd to add to the character of the models.

Hashut’s Blessing:

I am very pleased (obviously with all of the work, but in particular) with the fact that the female’s breastplate doesn’t have breasts shaped into it, rather a space to allow them to be. I get a little annoyed (sometimes) that females in wargaming have boobplates instead as it would aim the blow into their chest as much as away from it.

Top notch work and keep it up!

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Great sculpts, very characterful faces. I particularly like the Amish Overlord.

ryanamandaanna:

I’m loving these! I’ll definitely be on the hook when there are a few more to pick up…

Yep, it is them. Most of the stuff that appears in Shadow & Flame will probably get made into figures :)

She was tricky to design for the comic, as she has to look like a dwarf yet still be feminine; she was much harder to sculpt than to draw lol. In the end I just decided to not 'feminise' her too much and she kinda took over from there. She's actually my favourite character in the comic, along with Skagg the Hobgoblin (and yes, there will likely be a figure of him at some point too ;)).

The mighty Xander is also currently rebuilding my shoddy website into something far more impressive. I'm rather pleased with the initial results :cheers

Xander:

Yay, the website does look much better already! The next step will be to organize the pages better with more art to spruce things up.

Check out Bagg’s website!

Shakhorth:

New website looks awesome! Now all that’s needed is some new products, hint hint.

Obsidian:

Huge improvement on the website guys! :hat off

zobo1942:

That website looks AMAZING! Did you draw the black cliffs and lava? WOW.

Don’t really know what else to say… great stuff!

Baggronor:

Heh, no I didn’t draw them, its a joomla template. Rather suitable though
