[Archive] The Path to Glory - Baggronor's casting blog

zobo1942:

Well - a VAST improvement over the previous site!

Build your empire!!

Hashut’s Blessing:

Good job to both of you on the new website! I think a little piece of artwork from the inspiration for each model would be quite cool next to them as well. If you haven’t done it already (only time for a quick glance).

Ishkur Cinderhat:

OMG if only I knew how to make a website that looks even half as cool as that…

Thommy H:

Took a look at the new site last night - very cool. Now all you need is some awesome background for each of those models…

GRNDL:

Yes, very nice. I have indulged myself. Now I just need to work up a method of bringing a glorious hat to the Overlord’s head…

It's not that hard, just use Joomla. :P

clam:

Nice new site - looking forward to use it

A single thing - when you hit the ‘shop’ button in the menu - it took me a while to figure out that a sub ‘Dwarf’-menu opened.Think the shop main site (the ‘Welcome to the shop area where we sell 28mm scale white metal miniatures for use in tabletop games’) should have some hyperlinks to the sub shop sections - or refer to the ‘new’ sub menu.

And … you now need a new signature add - with the orange/blue background

zobo1942:

Do you think it would be a good idea to have a dedicated thread (sticky’d) with links to member hobby-related business websites?

I think that would be a great idea, and would be a lot more easier than accidentally running across a link in a a random thread.

Yeah, at the moment its literally the old site ported straight into a new template, so bits of it need fine-tuning. We (or rather Xander :)) will be fixing things up.

The closest thing we have at the moment is the wiki page about alternative CD models I think. There's a few people on here with their own miniature lines and sometimes it is hard to notice them, perhaps we could give this a go?

Xander:

Lookie what came in the mail today. It’s like Christmas, and Bagg is Santa Claus.

See, make a command group and I'll place an order that size, Baggronor.

I had thought that too, but I think you can easily convert the models that are there to be a command group. At least, that's the plan I have. I guess I'll find out when they arrive and I break out the Hat-O-Matic machine.

Shakhorth:

Well after seeing these beauties I had to place an order!

Can’t wait till I get mine through the mail.

astragoth:

It is a very good website and very good models! I rather make my own, though, but they would make awsome immortals!

:cheers

Hashut’s Blessing:

Just occurred to me: do you supply the bases as well or do we sort our own out? If you supply them, how are you going about that (if you don’t mind my asking)?

Xander:

They are supplied with 20mm bases that are very similar to GW bases, but are not. They are copyright HHG, 1992.

Baggronor:

I do supply bases with my figures, yes.

Edit: MUCH cheaper than GW.

liking the new sculpts, nice faces!
