While aesthetically I prefer large hats to masks - there is no denying that you have some sweet models here my friend.
clam:
Very impressive Lord. Love that mace. Job well done, Baggronor :hat off
Skullfaces, scales and curly beard is not my kind of CDs, but sculpt with such skills - I have to admit that this guy looks ace - and will most definitely be a pleasure painting.
Looking forward seeing more Baggronor-sculpts in a near future.
Baggronor:
Ok, so I should probably update this a little more often (like, ever :~).
Been fairly busy but its finally going somewhere. Website should be up by the weekend. Iâm off to Salute on Saturday where I have a stall (was supposed to be going with an independent stockist mate, but he pulled out due to total lameness so I have to fill 6 feet of table with 6 figures and a poster - great). Painted examples to follow soon.
Time of Madness:
The finished product turned out great! Any idea how long it took you from start to finish?

Thommy H:
So youâre actually selling these then? I think Iâd part with a few quid for that hero model.
Fill the rest of your stand with comics and artwork. Advertise the Word of Hashut or something.
Baggronor:
Any idea how long it took you from start to finish?Feels like too freaking long, although if I discount all the time spent working on other stuff its not actually that long (I have illustrated 3 comics including Shadow and Flame since January, amongst other bits of work). Over the last three weeks I got the infantry done and sorted out all the little bits and pieces (shields were a nightmare - great weapons from here onwards). The armour slows the sculpting a lot (the Sorcerer took about 3 hours from start to finish, whereas the others took far longer). Casting went smoother than I expected, can knock out about 50 in an afternoon.
Fill the rest of your stand with comics and artwork. Advertise the Word of Hashut or something.Yeah I'm probably taking a folio with me. Some posters and fliers too.
Thommy H:
I really want a unit in the same design as the Sorcerer to be Acolytes of Hashut too, but I doubt youâd get more than one sale out of itâŚ
Baggronor:
I really want a unit in the same design as the Sorcerer to be Acolytes of Hashut too, but I doubt you'd get more than one sale out of it...Well, currently planning another 2-3 Dwarf leader models, some gunners and then some Goblins and miscellaneous Hero types from other races. Dwarf acolytes I hadn't really considered... I agree its a shaky sales prospect... (not that any of them are that sensible from a profit standpoint, I just wanted to try it).
Anonymouse:
These are sweet! One minor point is the rather plain design on the sorceror. Itâs not bad, by any means, but are you planning on making a second one with more adornments, perhaps?
Baggronor:
One minor point is the rather plain design on the sorceror. It's not bad, by any means, but are you planning on making a second one with more adornments, perhaps? To be honest, I tried to keep everything relatively simple this time around as I'd never cast anything before :) There will be plenty more Heroes of various types, it'll get more ambitious as I gain confidence with mould-making (having said which, all of these moulded successfully first time so maybe I was being paranoid).
Thommy H:
The simple design was why I thought heâd make a good Acolyte. I spent quite a while looking for basic robed Dwarfs with masks a while back to represent them.
Hashutâs Blessing:
Damnit, why havenât I seen these before? The sculpts are wonderful and the casts came out beautifully. To say that those are the very first casts is impressive that they have absolutely zero blemishes: I always thought the first run was a little shakeyâŚ
But, youâll definitely do well for yourself selling them here and people can even use them as non-evil dwarfs!
What an arse for that other guy letting you down like that. Maybe show some of your artwork and comics as well as your work in the Word of Hashut and wallpapers⌠What other sorts of things could you get away with? Maybe try to gather a little terrain to place the models on and if possible get some painted ones for it⌠I.E. Cast a few more, paint them up and have them for display and have unpainted ones for people to look at as wellâŚ
