[Archive] Update 05/14/09 - Chaos Dwarfs of Gharhars

Vexxus:

From start to finish your progress has been truly inspiring! Seriously, I have no idea how I have missed out on your thread for so long, but now I am here to stay.

I especially love the “slit” helmets on the black orcs, and the giant ammo on the crewman shoulder. Very nice.

Keep up the good work!

Kera foehunter:

love your cannon crew!!! Wow being half way around the world merchant that soo funny

im doing some hobo pirates using the same Flagellant bodys but diffrent heads.

Great job!!

Thanks I'm also pretty happy about the crew my self - It seems like that using the flagellants is more common the I might imagining :o :)

Geckilian:

Sorry, mate. But I saw the idea used by Thommy H (on a BB-team) and asked him if it was ok, that I used it as well... But if you were the first, then thanks to you too :hat off

Merchant
That made me chuckle a hell of a lot. Cheers. Just to point out, if you mean the Blood Bowl team here, posted by Thommy H, Chaos dwarf Blood Bowl Team, then that was a thread he made about my work.

Ah, good times. :cheers (Also, in that thread you asked me if it was alright the use the idea, heheheh.)

Aaah... Now it makes sense in my head too ;)
Still thanks that I may use the idea... I'll correct the name in the post :hat off Cool job with the BB-team then! That should be all... Kudos, mate :)

alex:

- Well the idea came to me when reading the Tome of Corruption, and then I found my working tool - cut off the Gnobbla's head and replaced it with the Goblin head from Burna/Loota Boyz :)
- Simply because the head size was the right for the body, and the Gnobbla's bodies are very primitive looking - I hope that in time I'll be able to make some more of them, but right now I'll not even use Goblins in my army :)

Thanks mate :cheers

Ingrown:

This stuff looks great mate, those models demand painting however, I’m sure someones already said this but hey. Everything looks excellent on the model front however

Merchant:

Yep, everyone is pokeing me with the painting  But I haven’t come up with a color-scheme for them yet… But thanks

Update: Now I have completed my 10 Hobgoblins, and I’ll upload some pictures tomorrow

Merchant:

Now my fiancée has taken the picture of my Hobbos  I’ve decited not to give them little bellies, since I have a lot of work to do on my army, and the hobbos are just undead-feed

That’s my first 10 hobbos. Now I can correct my to-do list

Xander:

Flippin’ Fantastic.

I am enjoying this conversion. I think if I were to ever try this conversion I would shorten up the legs somehow. But overall, this is a great look.

Kera foehunter:

Yea!!!That’s hella cool Merchant. i like them

Patryk:

I don’t. They are imo too tall. Try to shorten their legs somehow maybe.

Merchant:

Thanks for the donation, Kera. I’m glad that you like the hobbos
Thanks, Xander  I’d be happy to see you make some… Coz’ we all know that Xander can make anything he puts in mind
About the legs, Patryk. Well, I’ve read that hobbos are near human size, so I made them this way and will not change 'em now.

Vasquez:

I wanna se them painted (painted, painted, not just black… yeah!)

Merchant:

Sweety my CDs will be painted when we have all the GW Green collours in our collection :cheers :o

Xander:

Time for some group shots of all your conversions so far!

I am really enjoying this blog.

Thanks my friend :) I'll might be able to upload a group picture later this day - I'll try to get it done, if I don't forget it  ;)

Edit - 06/12/08:
So far have I completed:
1 Fire Sorcerer Lord + imp - Completed :)
10 out of 20 Warriors with hand weapons, heavy armour & shields.
10 out of 20 Hobgoblins with hand weapons & shields.
10 out of 25-30 Black Orcs w. Armed to da teef.
1 Chaos Giant.

However my working progress can be found in the first post on this topic:

Finally an Update

I was having such a brainstorm - with some help from Vasquez, but was still unable to find a figure I wanted to use for my Bull Centaurs.

But then it hit me, like lightning - and I started looking through our bit box and found my creature.

After some hours of thinking and conversion I ended up with this:

Well not alot of conversion work, but he is, as I like him to be. I really like the primitive and aggressive look he has

The only thing my CD lord was able to make them wear is their trademark - the one-eyed mask :cheers

So what do you think?

cheers :cheers

furrie:

you might want to give him some more armour, after all bc are the (un)holy warriors of hashut
