I use to listen to metal or rock. Manowar, near days, but also Judas Priest or Guns n’ Roses.

I usually listen to gaming podcasts and audio books while painting, if i listen to music it’ll be 60s/70s ska/reggea/bluebeat

I just did some painting and listened to Dimmu Borgir’s Stormblast. I usually like to listen to long doom/drone songs though so ill probably put on Om when i go back in a few minutes.

Usually I have only time to paint at saturday afternoon and so I hear always “Sportzeit” at radio!
The main topic of the “Sportzeit” is football / soccer in the 1st German League (=Bundesliga)!
Despite this I hear mostly Pagan Folk (Faun, Omnia), the old songs of the “New Wave” era (Neon Judgement, Cure, The Lorries, Front 242, etc), Elektric Music inspired from the dark age (Qntal, Dargaard, Dead can Dance, usw)!
No Heavy Metal … sorry!

I usually do modelling and painting in silence. but on occasion I paint to my girlfriends anime in the back ground, or trance or electronic music. it really just depends on my mood.

I’m into American roots music…mostly old acoustic blues…Mance Lipscomb…Mississippi John Hurt… Skip James etc.
That…or Bob Marley…though when he is on I’m rarely in a mood to get much accomplished…

I usually just put my entire music collection on random. Nice mix of indie/alt, classic rock, heavy metal, techno, industrial, death metal, etc etc
Ocassionally I will restrict it to one of the above genres, usually industrial/EBM or indie rock depending on the day.

Most of the times some kind of metal. Be it thrash, death or doom or something else. Lately I have had Ghosts album from last year on repeat but some Sepultura, Testament and Pantera is always passable as well.
