Artisan’s Contest XLI: Warmachines

Dick Dastardly is basically a hobgoblin. Nose, chin, hunch..

Oh boy, almost done artisaning. One final pass with Milliput and it’s go for painting.

Sounds exciting! Milliput is a messy brute…especially 5+ year old stuff

What a bummer, I’m so late on schedule, real life is getting in the way very hard.

I’ll see if I can do a token entry.

Mix a little green stuff in with it (maybe like 1/3rd GS) and I find it improves the experience greatly.

Model is primed, this is happening!

Slow down!!! I’m not even back in the country!!
The clock is ticking and I feel it!! This is beyond painful!

Full steam ahead! (Literally I imagine)

Tzeentch is playing a distracting game right now but I’ve accumulated more than enough chorf models for .3(Zodd). Hopefully not far off from a big batch of priming.

I can’t seem to get anything done right now; I just don’t have the motivation … luckily, there’s still time before the deadline!

Yup, this sounds fun… I’ve been meaning to add a few war machines anyway!

So… Cogforts?

I would love to see someone build a counts as cogfort from the various lost kingdom warmachines. All the pieces you need are out there.

Could probably get most of the way there in meshmixer even.

The bulk of my entry is now ready for assembly A bit of sculpting to do. Some parts didn’t quite work out how I thought they would, I might have to try something a little different than planned. The crew are going to take the longest to finish.

Another alternative I use a lot is Apoxy - that mixes with Greenstuff too, and I think it works as well as Milliput. Maybe it’s the same stuff… It can be worked with water also, which is very useful… A lot of online tutorials recommend vasoline, but I’ve never seen the need honestly. Degreasing seems like an extra step.

Just my experience…

Good shout, I’ve been meaning to give that a try. It does seem like a good alternative to milliput.

I agree I’ve never seen the need for Vaseline while sculpting. Water, spit, and the ol faithful side of the nose grease do just fine

:nose: :biohazard:

I both love and hate how this one line has given me a handful of terrible kitbash ideas.

Grand ideas, yes, but terrible in the fact that they’d be too ‘extra’ for my skill level.

Awww, I believe in you!

Two weeks on since the last posts here… how are people’s creations (or motivations for creations) coming along?? Against all belief I’ve been able to get a few hours in here and there over the past two nights. Not enough, but it’s a good start and there’s still loads of time (at the moment).

Cogforts go up for pre-order tomorrow… We just might see an entry or two with daemon-incubating cogforts eeked out in the nick of time as AC XLI entries!! :anvil:

I’ve been editing YouTube videos for hours. :upside_down_face:

I’m strongly considering building this and running it as a Cogfort!

Also, this just went live: Converting the Cogfort
