Artisan’s Contest XLI: Warmachines

Cogfort on wheels, thank Hashut!

Hope folks’ projects are going well. I’m all primed but have yet to pick up a brush yet.

Successfully managed to get my Pre-Order for it.
While it’s a project a long ways away (still got an entire army to paint), I shall make a glorious Zharrdron Cogfort! For Hashut!

I still need to complete the crew and the base. The rest of the machine is mostly done. I’ve not had time to do anything for the last week but I should be able to get quite a bit done this weekend.

After my initial great success with building my model I slacked a bit with painting. It is primed and I put parts of a first colour on it

Sme contemplation has gone into an Iron Daemon scratchbuild / kitbash… It’ll happen eventually anyway, the question is will it happen for this contest… If the Bullfather wills it, the two may align. There are parts here, for sure!

Well done!
That recent heatwave was tough on my painting schedule. But I’ve managed to prime all the metallics, so I’m on my way.

Nicely done, and well-early!! I’ve managed to get in a couple of hours two nights in a row now  With any luck I’ll actually pull something off by the deadline.

**must not get the deadline wrong again!!

Life caught up with me, I’ll sit this one out, but I reckon we will get some great stuff from people around here !

I’m working on a piece now that could work; too early to say still… It really will depend on how ambitious I feel about sculpting. If I get it done in time, great, if not, I’ll share how far I’ve gotten on my thread here, but not before the contest closes…

I abandoned my biggest idea. I think the idea was great but the execution was not good enough for artisan entry. It is a scratchbuild made from sprues and plasticard. I wanted a pirate land and river ship/juggernaught. Maybe someone will replicate the dwarf juggernaut in an stl form one day

I’m never under the illusion that I will win these, the fun is in taking part.

I’ve fallen a bit behind since I have mostly the delicate work left and that takes more relaxation and concentration than I have had time for recently. I’m so close to having something presentable, albeit not fantastic even in my low standards.

I made big progress on my entry and then out of the blue I painted half my tomb king backlog in a delusional frenzy. I’m getting back on track now.

My entry is in. Get to work, you slackers!

Haha!!! Got mine in!! And early this time so I’m not stressing for the weeks leading up to the deadline - how novel! I started on the project back in January, so only taking 6 months to finish something might be some kind of record for me!! I’ll sleep well tonight. :hatoff:

I had to make a decision today regarding the progress I had gotten on my original idea - and I am certain that it won’t be complete by the deadline, there’s just too much sculpting and kitbashing still left, so, I decided to table that project until after the competition and put together tonight a model that I think I can finish in time and still stick to theme. Not going to share pictures of the original project yet because I think it won’t make an impact until it’s put together all the way.
