Incredible variety observed here in a very open category. Each entry has a unique take on the idea. Its been an absolute pleasure taking part in these chaos dwarf celebrations over the last few years.
I cant recommend entering these contests enough to the newly-joined people just starting out with chaos dwarfs. They are great motivation to push yourself a little bit further than you might do normally.

Couldn’t agree more! Contests were my first exposure to the forum and it’s always great when we get new entrants to mix in. Voting always tends to be very close as a general rule. Different styles catch the eyes of different people! Some people vote new and unique, some people vote tried and true classically painted classics, and some… a little of both!

I will spoil that the upcoming Golden Hat… has some great prizes queued up, ones we’ve not seen on the forum to-date.

What Zodd says here I Wholeheartedly and Definitely Agree. I wasn’t real confident at all when I first started ( for my legitimate age not acting age) and the “Brush Slave” events on the Ancestor Forum drew me in. So Join In it is fun, It is educating and it is frustrating when your dreams don’t match what you envisioned… Hasn’t stuffed my visions up yet, just introduced a pair of scissors to trim things back.
