Great work on all the little details. Could only see so much on the 4pics for the competition- it’s nice getting up close and personal on it. I love how it’s like your skateboard profile picture has been taken to its logical conclusion on this one!
Jesus Christ! That’s what I call a Landship, not like that crummy Marienburger thing! Once again I am impressed by your creativity! I would never have thought of something like this!
Fantastic being able to see all the little details and get so many close-ups et al. It’s impressive anyway, but allows us to really appreciate the hard work and see what a fantastic piece it is. Great for displaying your blunderbussers as well! Nice work!
Wow really so much more to see here! Awesome little pressure vessels and evocative hints at the operation of this behemoth. Definitely shows the thought put into this project
For once I didn’t go overboard and line up 10 mini’s and start painting them all before selecting one. I just went straight to one of my untouched Chaos Dwarf Squats to do.
The scorpion tail is from god knows where, the left arm is of course Chaos of some sort. The right arm was an older plastic Orc arm and the weapon is a 4th Ed CD Axe blade.
The only thing that got out of hand was the plinth, with successive layers getting added until I finished it at 50mm sq.
Great entry. Id never seen chaos squat exo armour before, Or any exo armour tbh. Sorely tempted into starting squats or chaos squats now, havent played 40k since 2nd edition. That model is cool, what will you use it as in game?
At this point I thought it would be a good idea to redo all the pics of my troops with the backdrop but as it was I wasn’t real happy with how it looked.
So a “Completion” of the stage was in order first.

The floor pavers are removeable. As I had a vague thought originally of having different settings for use on the stage. Another project for later.
Apart from the HobGoblin in the latest contest, I nibbled away at getting a Hobgoblin Warrior Regiment finished for Kings of War. As seen in the sneak preview in the GH No 37 thread.
The story I had envisaged is that a Powerful Shaman, whilst having a lovely drug aided vision, pronounced that he had seen symbols, held aloft and waved by brave beings, leading an army of their unwashed compatriots against the tyranny of their brutal overlords. He then ordered his tribe to emblazon their shields and Banners with these most powerful of symbols.
Here is the first image again
Have gotten the gaps between the individual bases filled and the Banner Bearer done.
