Back at it: the painted units of my collection version 3.0

Aaaaand where are done. The last unit of warriors for the tournament force in 2 weeks has been finished and movement trays added to the force, so that now means 3500 points (incl items and banners) are ready to gather slaves on the battlefields of T9A.

Models are from Mantic Games (and other prime candidates I’ll be happy for the 25mm TOW spaced movement trays) Abyssal Dwarf range.

Now onwards to slowly and steadily keep expanding to get back to that good old 15k+ force

Finished the Naptha Thrower gunnery “team” for my 9th age force this week, the one I linked the free STL on Cults for, designed by one of my club members.

A simple update this time round, with an additional crew member for my Earthshaker cannon. This ogre crewman (for the LoA upgrade option) is an old Clan wars Ogre, and looked just skinny enough to have a lot of time serving the Dawi’Zharr.

Next on the planning, the magma cannon for my forces.

And the Naptha Cannon has been completed.

The cannon itself is from Titan Forge’s asian kingdom line, while the crew members are Lost Kingdom merchants I had lying around.

Now to bring molten death to the enemy!

For the next projects, it will be time for some skirmish forces for various game systems.

Really nice little army you have painted up. One of the only people to have tackled the norba cds. Ive painteda few, i like them but they are hard to glue together.

Your kdaii, death shrieker and the fire thrower are the highlights for me.

Great job, keep it up!

Gave my figures a little try-out with some solo gaming, using the One Page Rules skirmish system.

In a weekly Throw Back Thursday episode on my channel today, I’m looking back at a game of Mordheim with my Dawi’Zharr from 2012.

Took a look at one of the Titan Forge character figures yesterday, and put it in a short YT video, for no other reason then I like doing that now and then.

Awesome stuff! Love the recruitment effort as well! Will you be participating in Darkforged 2024?

I don’t think so, for the moment I’m holding back a bit on the TOW hype, especially as I basically only need to put models on other movement trays so far.

But it is quite busy, my painting focus at the moment mostly being diverted to Warhammer Underworlds.

No worries. :grin::+1:

While I am mostly painting (at last) all the Underworlds in my possession, I managed to complete a warband in between for another great skirmish game: Mordheim.

An exclectic collection of miniatures (using the Black Dwarfs warband list from Broheim), it is lead by a Daemonsmith, which is the LE Forge World model.

The second character of the warband is a Gaoler, which is a cast from Miniatures Forge in Poland.

For the Dawi’Zharr henchmen, I have two Fabelzel warriors and a Lost Kingdom gunner

While the informants are made up of two Fabelzel hobgobs, and an old metal Clan Wars goblin.

Now to get some games in somewhere, Oh I don’t know, 2027 or so…

This co-hesiveness in colour scheme should be illegal.

As could be followed in the BATG challenge for this year, my Horns of Hashut have finally been painted.

Now to make sure I get some games in relatively soon with them…

It’s only november as I finally painted up my first unit of regular Dawi’Zharr for The Old World.

Models are 3d prints from Fabelzel, and they paint up really nicely. This will be the start of a unit of around 30 of the prints, so time enough to expand on them in the future!

Time for some Blood Bowl brutality with the new plastic team. They already featured in this weekends game report, but finally gotten round making a few pictures.

The latest model finished for my Chaos Dwarf forces, Rach’Mal “the Bull” is the excellent sculpt by Wolfbaneart I received last year with Secret Zanta.

I based him on 25mm square, as he will of course go into The Old World eventually, but first he will be having some adventures come 2025.

I plan on using him as the lead character in at first Rusty Dagger, before he becomes the leader of my warband in Five Leagues from the Borderlands, both solo gaming experiences I’ll be playing next year… if my little table and mat for solo gaming mysteriously appear under the christmas tree…

Additionally, I finished some Clan Wars small Oni from the Shadowlands faction, to serve as 15mm K’daai for HOTT (fantasy DBA in essence)

I have by now completed +4000 points of the holy force (The 9th Age as pointer), consisting of the following:

Infernal Dwarves
385 - Prophet, Prophet of Nezibkesh, Light Troops, Wizard Adept, Pyromancy (Fireball, Flaming Swords, Pyroclastic Flow), Ghostly Guard, Troll Tonic
323 - Overlord, General, Battleline Hero, Light Troops, Hand Weapon (Shield Breaker), Great Weapon (King Slayer), Warding of Unity, Obsidian Rock
550 - 20 Citadel Guard, Flintlock Axe, Standard Bearer (Banner of the Twice-Branded), Musician
441 - 28 Infernal Warriors, Shield, Standard Bearer (Banner of Discipline), Musician
295 - 20 Vassal Levies, Paired Weapons, Bow, Standard Bearer, Musician
235 - 20 Vassal Levies, Spear and Shield, Standard Bearer (Their Master’s Banner), Musician
550 - 6 Kadim Incarnates
340 - 10 Taurukh Enforcers, Great Weapon
295 - Infernal Artillery, Titan Mortar
290 - Infernal Artillery, Rocket Battery
185 - Infernal Artillery, Naphtha Thrower
170 - Gunnery Team, Naphtha Thrower
4059

This is excluding the first 10 blunderbusses, as the system has a minimum unit size of 20 for them, or the recently completed Wolfbaneart hero, as I plainly forgot to tool him up for the rules. Guess that will be something for the next benchmark, which should be the 6k step…

Anyways, the army as it has been repainted and rebuild to the blue gold scheme for now:
