Bas tries to paint a lot of stuff! [BATG 2022]

Thank you!

Today I finished a couple more Stompas for Legio Waaagh. This time they’re Warhound sized stompas!

So now I only have their Giant Warlord-sized brother to finish up. I hope to do this before the end of the year.

Ofcourse other projects are also piling up… my gaming group is going to play a 40k campaign sometime in the start of 2023, so I have to finish 400 pts of Tyranids. And then I also enrolled in a Middle-Earth escalation campaign, so I have to paint 200 pts of Hobbits before the end of January. We’ll see how far I can get…

Final Ork robot for 2022, and it’s a big un!

This guy has been on my desk for 2,5 years, and finally I finished him.

The Legio WAAAAAGH Warlord Titan.

In my head he’s basically a walking village, where Orks bolt on crates full of loot and parts of defeated titans.

He really is big, but still only counts as 1 :(.

I’ll make some more pictures this weekend to show my complete Legio WAAAGH! Nice to have another project finished.

That one is seriously awesome! Excellent work

The Legio WAAAAAGH Warlord Titan is awesome! Is it for Epic? I love the tiny medieval turrets scattered here and there.

These minis are for Adeptus Titanicus!

I’ll never own a real Forgeworld Titan, but these tiny ones are supercute! At the start of lockdown I even build a little interior for my Warhound Titan:

And while working on these, I finished up my final remaining Titanicus models: A Reaver Titan and some knights. And a second warclaw for my Warlord, since double fisting probably is the worst option for these guys:

(sorry for the triple post, but I hope to keep it a little more structured this way)

So I finished all my Titanicus stuff, and this led me to a little photoshoot. Superfan to take this way too seriously.

And this brings me to:

The finished Legio ??? (no need yet…)

And the finished Legio WAAAAGH!, ready to stomp some Titans:

Seriously cool conversions. I especially like the massive Ork Gargant built from crates and bits, and that Warhound interior is amazing!

One final summary of 2023, and then on to make my 2023 post ;p

Just like @chitzkoi requested:

Get ready for a sensory overload.

374 minis painted (I forgot to count some Titans).

Average of about 15-20 minis per month.

Most productive month was November, with 84 minis painted (mostly due to the mini Slaanesh army).

If I look through this year, my main projects were superheroes (Marvel Crisis Protocol, Batman), Star Wars and getting back to Warhammer (/9th Age) tournaments.

In total there were:

  • 41 MCP models.
  • 78 Legion models.
  • 9 Batman Miniature Game models.
  • 147 Warhammer/9th Age models.
  • 46 Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game models.
  • 17 Adeptus Titanicus models.
  • 36 random models.

Now on to 2023. I’m pretty sure I won’t hit the 2022 numbers, since at the start of that year we were still in lockdown, but I have some fun models on the way.

Immense effort and results! Stellar hobby year there, Bas! Best of luck with the new one.

Love the colours on your Star Wars Clones and the Mordor Orcs.
