Blood Bowl 3rd SEASON (2025)

I am looking for some reviews of the new 3rd edition Chorfs rules. The list looks very similar to what we got in Spike #18 magazine but with some changes.

What do You think about those?

Total noob bere… I wanted to get on board several times. Last time was when Made to Order was avaliable but my store… Forgot to order those for me. Now I think I will go all-in. With newe plastics+AoS bull Centaurs - best time to do so.

Hmm, what is your question? The roster is the rulebook, relese on saturday. There are minor tweaks from last edition.

Btw, its Season 3. Edition would be 6-7 or something, no idea to be honest. AFAIK there is no official count with the LRBs etc.

Question is how did the rooster changed? I read it but as a noob I can not really say what that all means. Hobgoblins Primary changed, Stabba looks better now … but how did the team change in general? Some new real options or… not?

Ah, jupp smaller changes to the roster. To early to say how they changed, this roster is really similar to last edition. Cheaper Stabbas and some new skill access.

For BB it really depends on the meta, first the teams are not made to be equal rather its deseigned around tiers. But over the last editions its getting more equalised comparing to how it used to be. Chaos Dwarfs used to be one of the strongest teams, now its mostly to middle I guess. But that said it depends on if you are playing a league or a resurection tournament, what the budget/skillpacks etc are.

But to answere your questing I guess we will have to wait 6 moths or so to say how they rank and how the “general tournament meta” will be.

Thanks!

And what can You cay abouyt sabba and those new flamesmiths? Those are “new” and should add some depth. Do they? Previous version they seemed to be underrepresented.

BTW Ordered a box+helmsmiths Bull Centaurs and have a Minotaur printed too so I am ready to start the fun.

I think the “new” roster with Flamesmiths and Stabbas are more fun and interesting to play against, and with I would say. Though general consensus seems to be that the old roster was better. That said Chaos Dwarfs used to be top ranked as one of the teams that had everything they needed. Personally Ive been in favour of pretty much all the roster updates GW has made for Blood Bowl since 2016. With the core filosofy based around the tiers and that every teams aint made equal makes the updated seem fresh and some times moves the teams around on the ladder. That said Ive palyed most teams but primarely plays Halflings so its through the eyes of a Stunty coach… <3

I listened to few list reviews and it was said that CD got hit but have more options. This was mentioned several times for several teams too. Some of them like Nobles and Vampires were mentioned as “best” and CD middle tier but more options feels good. With flamesmiths and stabba hobbgoblins we might have interesting games.

BTW How do You rate those updated new units?

Dont know to be honest, I have only played a few games against CD and none with since the rroster changed…

This is the updated Tier-list for the new edition, as said there it will update so it might change slightly. But CDs are still Tier 1, so maybe not top ranked but still among the “best” teams.

H’Thark the Unstoppable beeing a Mega Star should limit his use considerably in some thournament metas, but not for leagues. And yes, he seems pretty strong with that special skill.

I ordered a CD box but just only now realized there are 2 flamesmiths inside the box. I was sure it is a resin model. Great supprise. I will test him for sure.

Thanks! I am super interested how they determine Tiers but it is helpful. Different to other tier lists I listened too but a goos source to have.

You will need the Bull Centaurs as well, they are 50% of the team…

Ordered those as well. I really like Helmsmiths od Hashut’s plastic bulls. Will use those to convert them.

They seems to be on every CD team… minotaur too.

Yeah the two Bull Centaurs are the key to the team, and with the new edition changes, Sneaky Stabba, is better, due to shadowing getting an upgrade, but still unlikely to be on your starting roster. As a new player, I would Suggest the following build for a starting team:

Bull Centaurs X2 -260,000

Dwarf Blockers X4 - 280,000

Flame Smith X1 - 80,000

Hobgoblins X4 - 160,000

Re-Rolls X3 - 210,000

Dedicated Fans X3 (1 free 2 for 5k a piece to the maximum 3 of a starting roster) - 10,000

Total - 1,000,000 Gold Pieces-

CTV - 990,000

After a few games get the second flame Smith, upgrade a hobgoblins to a Stabba (maybe fire a regular hobgoblin if one hasn’t died already) and the apothecary. The Minotaur is a fun piece, but unlikely to see it until about half way through a league, or maybe in a tournament.

Looks great! I might try and put Sneaky Stabba there as well as I really like those guys as a concept.

Second one done.

I like them too, I think they’re a lot of fun, and if you have some experience I would say drop a Re-Rolls and fill out the positional, but for new players, 3 Re-Rolls is always my suggestion.

Dropping 1 re-roll for 1 Sneaky Stabba is 1:1 option so I will paint one :stuck_out_tongue:
