Looking good man! :eggplant::eggplant::eggplant:
Be careful with those small parts like the warts and the feather on the arrows as they probably won’t translate well and shows the detail after printed, especially the one on the nose
I’d thicken them up

Oh, that’s a lovely Hobgoblin!
His pose, grimacing face and hat are so well executed…and tendinitis?
Well that sucks, sorry to hear about that…take care of yourself, because Hashut deems you to sculpt more of his most favored souls.

So, I’ve discovered a way to render my 3D model files so they look (sorta) hand painted. This is super fun, and incredibly useful to learn painting techniques, color planning etc. It is a super powerful tool! Let’s hope it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands…

You could win a painting competition without lifting a brush. Kind of funny

Well, online painting competition at least…

Nah, I’m too honest for that.
But I think I’m improving at this fakery:

I had no idea that rendered 3D models could be ā€œhand paintedā€
:open_mouth:
Not sure if it’s cool or heresy.
But they do look great…the whip design on the goblin shield is perfect, because ā€œWhere there’s a whip, there’s a wayā€ :notes:

It’s useless is what it is!
I can’t play games with jpgs!!!

But they may have a use as box-art.

I dont understand how you can do that and sculpt but not paint. Maybe a bit of perseverance is needed?

You know where the highlights should go…

That last ā€˜paintjob’ is best so far

Lets see you copy that by painting. Interesting experiment

Why not?
GW used to supply stand up cardboard cutouts in their old-school edition box sets

Ai render isnt it?

Nono! No AI shenanigans involved. It’s my 3D model, textured using various 3D painting software and photoshop. Can AI colorize stuff like this? If so, I would sure like to try!

Aaaahhh, blessed holiday peace. I got to make something I’ve always wanted. The mystical ā€œFountain of restorationā€ as a terrain piece. And perhaps as a desktop water feature? If anyone recognizes the design: We are brothers.
