Latest gamę against Wood Elves. Last turn bad luck resulted in a fleeing Bull centaurs and a dead Taurus… Still 5:1 for my Chorfs.
I don’t know much about TOW, but why has the wood elves player only two units and heroes, while you field a “proper army”
Wood elves are outrageously expensive this edition. I see some eternal guards here, with shield to give them a meager 5+ save they are 14pts a dude, the wilwood rangers with shield have the same treatment at 15pts a guy.
Edit : I took a closer look, indeed the wood elves looks rather slim here, but with magic items on lord and great stag, maybe a spell weaver or singer, tree kins are kinda expensive as well …
2 death stars in wood elf army. 23 war dancers with banner and 21ish spearelves. And 3 tree kins.
I used some cheaper units.
I had ANOTHER game against Dwarfs… With 2 death stars units of Rangers and Irondrakes.
IT was a 3500:100 victory.
These are awesome!
Thanks!
I still have to add lava and paint 2 riders morę… Let you know when I finish.
Done!
I did order few more (musician, standard bearer…) and I do have another Khan to paint but I can play with what I already have!
5th picture is without sharpening - I think it looks better. I also think I should reduce my lamp’s power as pictures are to bright… Right?
So great. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I do! 12 Sneaky Gits on their way and I have already ordered few more wolves. Musician, banner, champion.
Hi,
I have painted morę than half of my second sneaky gits unit, a musician an a champion for wolves and started a Taur’tuk’s skin with speedpaint though airbrush. Man I love how fun it is.
@MiSiO I really like the effect on the musician with the drum and mallet. Every Looks amazing as usual : )
Thanks! Drums looks so good as they use human skin …
Man those looks great! I always say consistency is key!
Did You consider something like very light Vandyke Brown oil wash or You are more like me and colours turns out bright even when I want them to by grim?
Thanks mate. I prefer the brighter style, but it’s a good point I’m not sure I’d know how to approach a grimdark paint scheme : p right now I’m mainly using 1:1 sepia wash for the fabric folds, and sometimes 2:1 water to agrax to make it a bit darker. For the leather, I use fairly strong agrax and for metal and sometimes fur I use nuln oil
Not sure if I was refering to grim dark. I just feel like strong distinctions between colours to work well.
Ah yes I got you! Honestly I’m not sure. I might try some different washes to experiment. I’m used to my standard set could be worth expanding.
I like thined down speedpaints as washes.
