So a while back, I was looking for CD or Mesopotamian themed texture rollers. I didn’t find any made for hobbyists; however I DID find free scans from museums of Bronze Age cylinder seals. Ie. Replicas of ancient rollers for marking in clay for stamps and whatnot.
(Looks like @Admiral Immortal had a similar idea back in 2016)
@KhamdrimSkyMaster was kind enough to print 3 out, and I am glad to show you the results (on air dry clay)
Wet, half dry, and dry
I plan to coat them to in mod podge (to avoid it crumbling) and then add as murals to the side of some buildings / risers.
LINKS
The source I’ve found was Arpruss’s cults3d links. The file doesn’t have the pictures of what they are, but the cults page has pictures (you just need to match up the numbers)
Any of them are great, but I recommend:
va02929 * bull fighting lion
va03878 * horned king on bull throne
va06936 * winged bull
Side note: when using air dry clay, I recommend rolling on either a surface with some vaseline, or maybe on waxed paper; I had trouble getting them off the surface. In doing so, I had to be careful not to squish it; which, ironically could be done INTENTIONALLY. (ex. use the roller with Humans on it, and then squish the clay a little to make them closer to chorf proportions.)
