Worth noting as some questions have arisen on the discord chat.
There’s no fluff writing aspect of this competition as it is focused on the painting. References to “fancy backgrounds” being permissible refer to images, backdrops, diorama scenes behind the model(s) that are the focal point of the entry. This is the same as prior Golden Hats
Folks that want to submit a name with a character may do so if they wish, but it is not mandatory nor the focus of the voting. I won’t specifically state a character limit for text but try to be reasonable with your transferric venti-lamassu optimus bull-tron riding arch mega daemonsmithor primus wielding spik-ed spetum of ultimate pokitude…

Absolutely mate. The contest is very democratic, the winner will be whoever’s work is most admirable to the voters. Like @Reaver said, it could be a mini from anywhere, if people love it - they’ll vote for it. We aren’t in the business of turning away entries people worked hard on, it’s all supposed to be fun!

To expand on this further, entrants aren’t limited to just WHFB either; and ‘evil’ ‘dwarf’ is eligible, including (but not limited to) AoS Chaos Duardin, KoW Abyssal Dwarfs, 40k Chaos Squats, 9th Age Infernal Dwarves, D&D Duregar, etc.
