Great going folks! Entries should be up sometime after lunch tomorrow, central European time. I’ve got a couple of things preoccupying me from processing pictures today. Not to worry, everything will be in place tomorrow.
Cheers

Just for fun
Two paltry runts! Whatever became of proud, titanic towering giantkind?!
Big hats should AlWAYS be allowed!
Technically the two runts came first, Well maybe not before the Grenadier, but way before GW got their massive case of “Bigger is Better” envy.
Giants just aren’t what they used to be! I blame all this new-fangled gargant talk. A gargant is a massive space ork war machine grumble grumble grumble.
I feel ya, everything is on growth hormone at GW, got the new drycha for my non-elf wood elf army and was like hmmmm… No way in hell that is going to fit on a 25mm base lol
And what the hell has Belakor been eating lately OMG he is bigger than a greater daemon!
Giants. When I were young we had proper giants. Not like these overblown plastic things the beardling call giants these days. Giants WERE Giants back then! Obviously not very BIG giants, I’ll grant you that. I have one metal giant from the early 80’s armed with a tree! Admittedly a ogre tyrant these days wouldn’t need too big a hat to overtop him… but he was ALL Giant in spirit. Youngsters these days have no idea what a REAL Giant is! You don’ have to be tall to be a Giant! Mind you, tell the young folk that these days they won’t believe you! They think you’re talking rubbish. Ha! What do they know about rubbish? We used to have proper rubbish back when I were young not like the pitiful excuse for rubbish they have these days. When I were young Rubbish was RUBBISH! Let me tell you…
I feel like you should be wagging a stick in the air while saying that. I do hate the size creep, feel like they are miditures and many resemble kids toys. I like small models that fit in a case and dont take up half the table.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
I love all models, old and new, small and big, ugly and beautiful. Even those pointy eared things we all make fun of but a lot of us still own…
I just have preferences, but I love em all. And want em all. Never going to happen since I don’t have a gold producing farm animal… yet…
However, I fully intent to work my way from favored armies to the rest of them eventually. And with this 3d printing thing nowadays, that is eventually going to become reality. I have a full tomb kings army, full greenskin army and partial others already lined up for printing and processing. It’s not yet time as I still have loads of chaos dwarfs and actual GW armies to paint… but it… will… happen!
I know what you mean about the size creep. I was channeling my inner dawi, and I definitely needed a stick. The trouble GW have is how to bring people back for more? Rules/power creep annoys people, nerfing old units annoys people, just basing power on number of models puts barriers up to new entry. There is only so much detail I guess you can engineer on a mass produced mini. I would feel sorry for them if my wallet would let me.
The massive benefit of this is all the small miniature companies out there now. Many of the models are sculpted by ex gw people providing the classic look i am after. Look how much chaos dwarfs are now available…love it…my bank balance doesnt though.
So much more choice, i doubt gw will ever monopolize fantasy ever again.
So I recently discovered that scale creep is not, as I had always believed, someone with an unhealthy interest in lizardmen, but in actual fact the process of miniatures getting bigger over time!
Mind. Blown
Haha a we need make this canon. I’m a scale creep
I mean, it’s actually a great time for chaos dwarf collectors. Feels like there are so many ranges out there…
This is definitely true, it’s great being able to convert up Chaos Dwarfs for fun rather than out of necessity.
