Wow. Bad luck @Loidrial , first the primer issue, then a Time Loop…
I still need the extension. I’ve changed my mind re what I am doing 3 times, and still haven’t decided on a final project so I keep working on other things. First idea was taking too long for just a smidge of project, second idea… just wasn’t coming together right… Just having a hard time finding motivation… Considering just submitting something… normal. Lol, we shall see.
My entry is in, even though my girlfriend was puzzled that I took pics of what she described as “It’s done? Are you sure? The painting looks terrible”
Yeah, it’s nothing fancy, just a fast entry for the fun of it and hopefully everyone will get a laugh out of it.
And I’m looking forward to seeing lots of entries from all of you, good luck to everyone
@MichaelX
Yeah, she’s brutally honest.
But I did paint it while I had a 102 degree fever from covid
…still no reason why I couldn’t touch it up afterwards, but nah, too much effort and I’m in this GH just for fun.
Great news, just had a week off work (i work in a school) and on the first day i threw my back out.
This meant that the 1001 things my wife had planned for me to do this week fell by the wayside and instead i got to just paint! It was looking doubtful that i’d have time to finish my entry, but thanks to an old rugby injury, i’m all done.
@MichaelX yeah, this was a minor thing, compared to some i’ve had in the past. I’ve found that the best thing for it is to sit straight on a firm chair. Fortunately my painting chair fits the bill perfectly
@Fuggit_Khan Blood Bowl? Not for me, far too rough, those guys are maniacs. I’ll stick to nice, safe, friendly rugby!
@Loidrial great news, an Eddy entry is always a treat.
Can’t wait to see all the entries, hope everyone’s over or near the finishing line
This time I let myselfdown @Freakshow668 not fan of what I created at all, especially due to the fact I had to redo it thx to a failed base coat.
The paint was peeling off just by touching it after 2 days.
Oh well, it’s not always Sunday (as we say in Italy)
Some shit happens (a lot when I do things)
It seems that the inescapable curse of genius is to be surrounded by imbeciles. How do you cope my Lords? I fear I do not manage this situation well. Two days past I visited Igor in the laboratories to see how he was faring bringing my latest visions to life. All he has to do is the mundane job of actualising my concepts. Sadly this seems to be beyond him.
I was greeted with all due respect and subservience and treated to a tour of the works. Igor gushed excitedly of how well parts 1a,1b, 1c and 1d had performed (of course they had they were my idea). I let him babble till he ran out of steam. Really, does he think me so foolish I would not notice the absence of any mention of part 2. Really? Well, then came the inevitable sobbing and the crying and the pleading. Finally the excuses. These engineers, they always have excuses… there is not enough time… there is a shortage of skilled workers…,there are realm wide supply chain problems. I have heard it all before. Then he starts blathering about the Lore of Fizzickz. Well, I had to tell him that he needed to stop worrying about Fizzick’s lore and start worrying about the Laws of Uther. Which by the way were also fixed, unbreakable and more than that had lots of very sharp unpleasant pointy bits. I must admit I was forced to threaten him with a Time and Motion study. What is more I pointed out that if the current middle management (Igor) did not pull his finger out I knew someone who would do it for him. Furthermore, he would force me to invoke the three Rs of the organs of middle management, Reshuffle, Re-organization and finally Redistribution. All of which he would find extremely unpleasant and eventually terminal.
Fortunately for Igor, the Admirals of the ship of religion in Zharr Naggrond have seen fit to extend the deadline (which is such an apt term don’t you think?). Maybe he will redeem himself? But what is one to do my Lords, really, what is one to do?
