Highland Miniatures

Highland Miniatures just release the Sons of Marduk ordinances :

These are hand carried artillery and while this is quite an interesting twist on the more traditionnal war machine, it is clearly a separation from the Hell Train carriage system that we have come to all love (well maaaaaybe not all of us, but it became Chaos Dwarf core).

While I really enjoy the historical twist, I must say I’ll have to wait and see how I feel about the lack of wheels (or train track, or deamon shenanigans)

Demolition rocket is a freaking ICBM ! Now 100% dark land made.

It the barrel feels a bit Helsmithy (or crowling). Otherwise, respectable mortar.

The crew is really nice, even if lack of slaves for loading (ogres, greenskins or humans) is a bit sad.

Overall I’m not sure what to think about the war machines, but I really love the crew.

What do you guys think ?

Really love these crew. A huge improvement on the hellsmiths crew

To be fair, it looks like adding wheels to these warmachines is super easy since they seemingly have axles.

My thought exactly at the moment ! I think I don’t like the pallanquin approach …

i love how this fella looks desperate ahuhuauahua he would look great in some dioramas

Now… wasn’t there a Russian Alt chorf musician with a bagpipe? Or the recently shared hurdy gurdy playing Goblin to complete this fantastic scene?

I’ll probably get these just for the crew, though I’ll have to find somewhere selling physical prints

Hi folks, so we got a bit more of the range, what do you guys think ?

The brazen bull is original, but having dwarfs push it feels a bit weird.

The magma canon looks good and the crew is great.

Then they are the bulltaur.

Some fanatics

The flying taurus

And my absolute favorite guy :

Those bulls all look a bit unhappy - not even angry, just a bit sad.

Clearly my thought, looks like they are really sad Hashut created them. Not sure I like them.

GROND! GROND! GROND!
That brazen bull warmachine is awesome!! I like the fanatics and the hero is a beast!

Both bulls and Taurus are a miss in this state for me, the ideas are neat to me, but the faces and expressions are totally off (nothing that couldn’t be easily fix with minor 3d sculpting work tho)

I like the concept of the brazen bull, but it being pushed by dwarven slaves is a bit sad for me. Oh this hero is glorious. Really create this “sultan” vibe.

Really agree with you on this.

All in all it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me. I like the infantry a lot and the caracters. I’m more on the fence for the war machines (require some kitbash in my opinion, and the brazen bull is a bit goofy). Bulls and Taurus are a hard pass for me personally.

Agreed on the amazing character. Everything else has lil bits I would use but overall the war machines aren’t for me. All those crewdwarfs would find great homes in kitbashes though. The two crewmen on top of grond especially and welding mask lad.

Needs some hobgoblins and ogre loader to shine.. and helm swaps for me to never have to look at those bull centaur faces. The one helmed bull centaur is menacing.

Hobgoblins arrive next month, some preview seems quite promising. They are in my opinion the ones who benefit the most from the “historical” spin of the range
