So great Taurus update.
This is where I have got to, I wanted to try and do it with the big hat vibe if that makes sense with the red skin but I’m really unsure!

Small update for you all,
Infernal guard are now down on their bases in pretty happy with how they stand at the moment just need to paint the edges of the bases and I’ll class them as done.
Based also done for death shreikers, there’s multiple pictures so you call get the idea of what they are like and what they’ll be like once shreikers are on the bases.
Drazhoath I’m happy with I’m coming around to the red on the Taurus as I was unsure when I was painting it but I think I’m happy, I think the armour on the Taurus will have to be black as it’ll be too much red otherwise.

Mini update and looking for your opinions,
So started to paint the wings and I’m wondering what are your thoughts on the flesh part of the wings
I have also managed to get hold of another death shreiker at a very reasonable price that is unbuilt I am hoping it is a better casting!
I have also managed to get hold of another 10 infernal guard with shields, Shar’tor and a fine cast Azhag the slaughter so that’s the war boss on wyvern sorted! So one step forward to the list I am looking for!
I am also looking for legion of azgorh parts so if you guys have spares or bits and bobs you might part with please let me know!

I like the wings, nice and virbant colours, I only say your Bale Taurus has a very stark contrast between the light and dark colours, making it look sort of cartoonish, but if thats what you’re going for, all power to you.
I wanted it to be kind of like a tribute to the big hat chaos dwarf era… but I completely agree with the cartoonish look!
Personally I’m not overly satisfied as it stands maybe my opinion will change when it’s finished, or maybe find a way to tone it down with the red some how.
Originally I wanted to use an air brush but I didn’t feel I had the skill set or knowledge for that scale of model

So a minor update I guess
Wings have been painted wish I had completely painted the flesh of the wings before having a break from painting as I could not remember all of the steps I took originally!
During painting the wings part of the blade has snapped I’m hoping a bit of super glue will resolve.

I think the overall contrast works and looks a little less comicy now, the armour I was thinking black but I feel that silver and gold will tone down the comicness as well.
I am also considering changing the build of the list with the updates and may try and include sneaky gits somehow. I still feel that three large monsters is something to be weary of when playing against but I feel that they will also help in games.
With the launch of the helsmiths in aos it seems that I may be able to build an aos list with what I have lying around with the legion of azgorh models!
So I’m currently looking at
Daemonsmith on tarus
2 units of 6 bull centaurs
4 death shreikers
A unit of 10 blunderbuss
2 units of hobgoblins to screen and take objectives and then I’ll see what I have left but I feel that this’ll be a fun list to play with

Sorry bit late to the party. I used the AOS orc as a unit champion. Size wise and look wise it works in my opinion.
Small update,
I have started the metal works on the Taurus and done the armour, I’ve decided to go black/grey as I think this times everything down a bit was contemplating red but I think it’d be just too red!
Whilst doing the metal work I decided to start the death shreikers they have been painted silver and washed just waiting for the wash to dry and then will highlight and pigment. I think that some of the raised metal areas I will do in a brass colour what are your thoughts what has everyone else done?

How many layers of red on the body? I like the black shading lines

It’s just working the darker colours to highlights it’s pretty simple, Iif you didn’t want as bright it could easily be done by reducing the highlights
So a very small update but more of a building repairing and trailing evening…
So I’ve attempted a legion of azgorh blunderbuss conversion not as simple as I’d have thought but for the first one I don’t think it’s too bad, please give your comments and criticism on this! Are they better in the old world or for AOS…
I’ve had to do a repair on the iron daemon due to a wheel snapping no real issue quick pin and a bit of super glue and we are all good.
The orc warboss and Wyvern has been build the base done and green stuff started I don’t know if he is still beneficial to have in the list or not though that’s another question.
I’ve also started building my bull centaurs for AOS and shartor I want to include him but he’s too big maybe he could be used as something else I’m not too sure though

Annoyingly I have just realised the bull centaur bases are too big…
Can anyone confirm if the ones that come in the box are 90mm or 70mm
So that’s a unit of 10 blunderbuss converted and green stuffed a couple set too quickly so had to try my best with green stuff but pretty happy with how they turned out.
Still don’t know wether to keep for the old world or for AOS
