The flat surface near the slot is for a continuation of the lava pool. I will smoothen everything out some more before adding some texture paste, sand and rocks.
It’s alright, it’s more grainy than Green Stuff but seems more suitable for landscaping and would probably have been the better paste to shape the adapter tray above.
This was mostly to get a feel for it. I want to make a baggage train eventually and depending on the design, Milliput could serve some purpose there.
Neither grim nor dark is the beautiful Greek island of Symi, the place where my Chaos Dwarfs idea came to life. During breaks from the hot sun I would browse this forum, get inspired, and also order my first 3D prints.
One year later I can make various 2k builds using only painted models but there are many more ideas to realise.
Like last year, it seemed dumb not to make use of the downtime, and since I found a newly established 3D printing service closer to home, I ordered some bull centaurs. White Angel miniatures has piqued my interest for some time now, but I haven’t seen them much around here yet. Do you guys have any experience?
I don’t know the scale of the FW models, but here is the White Angel guy, printed at 28 mm scale, on a 75*50 mm base. Compared to a dwarf the size is fine, but it doesn’t exactly own its base.
My package from MaxMini has arrived, here are the Goblin Knives cleaned and put on bases. I need to get more square bases before I can do the Goblin Axes.
I tried them (3 BC + Taur’ruk) last night for the first time, against a nasty Troll Horde. They did well - killed a giant and some trolls - but got a bit too overconfident and charged a troll hag which did not end well (-2 to hit, double regeneration).
First four of the Sneaky gits. Going back to using more traditional paints rather than contrasts. I’m not too stoked about the result as they are a bit dark and dull, but I will keep adding new hair colours as I paint the rest. And I have finally found a rusted metal recipe that I like, so that’s a win.
