New Chaos Dwarf & Hobgoblin Plastic Blood Bowl Team

Two new player types and the CDs lose Tackle (ouch!). I think they were a legacy list, so not in the official stuff anyway - the new magazine brings them in with new rules.

I thought that second BC definitely needs a repose. I’m guessing I’ll be ordering two of everything in this range here, one to use as-is and the other for conversions for my CD army. I’m just hoping they’re still reasonably close scale-wise to what we’re used to. All bets are off with the BCs though… Although having just watched the Twitch video there was a shot of a BC in frame with a hobgoblin and the hobgoblin only game up to about abdomen level on the BC, so perhaps they’ll be closer to our recent additions!

Still and all… lots of potential here!

Yeah that one hurts. Their replacement rule is not bad either, though, and I kind of like that chaos dwarfs are now different from dwarfs.

I would have preferred the hobgoblins to have been a little more reminiscent of the old metals but will still get them all.

Ofcourse the were a legal team, playable in both GWs own events and the bigger NAF-sanctioned tournament scene!

Edit: Oh, might have misread your post there. Sorry… :grimacing:

@Skink Regarding base size, def 40mm. Other players on 32mm.

Flamesmiths?
Reminds me of Napalm Beer.

All in all, they’re nice models, shame about the lack of poses, but nothing that a model knife and putty can’t fix.
The Big Hat itself looks boring, but still better than a helm

The Hobgoblin aesthetics are infinitely better than the miserable hobgrots, but still not good enough to make me go buy them.

But nice to see that GW hasn’t forgotten about the CDs
I’m betting that tjub is first to paint 'em up and post here

40mm ain’t too far from 50. That works for width. 75mm is A LOT more though… They might look lost on a monstrous cavalry base.

Ha, here I am, musing like I am not going to try it anyway

@tjub is definitely the man for it ahauahha
On a smaller scale I feel your point of view. They feel more refined and polished for sure. But the fact they don’t have so many details on leave for us more canvas
The pose of the fire spitter dudes is an issue, for those like me who have hooves instead of hands and can’t convert shit, is bit of an issue but we will figure something out

I took chorfs all the way to the final at the welsh open, going back this Jan to try again, but not sure if ill still be using the same team :frowning:

I am actually not that impressed with the models. They look a bit plane to.me. But good stuff for conversions for sure!

The Hobgoblins are cool tho

I think the dwarf designs have been influenced particularly by this team from Gaspez-Arts.

This is amazing - both for conversion into fantasy as well as a return to Blood Bowl.

Speaking of BB, where could I find the new rules?

Funny, in every other Blood Bowl team some models are carrying or playing the ball. But none of the Chorfs does. Seems that we are just playing Blood.

Maybe we see our beloved Chalice of Blood and Darkness returning as trophy :trophy:
