This was an extra 60mm round base I had that I decided to do up to as a way of further dressing-up the Extraction Zone tile for Warhammer Quest Cursed City.
Continuing on from my roaring start to 2025 from my previous post I have managed to paint ANOTHER model!! I know, I know, if I don’t slow down I’m going to run out of stuff to paint before the end of the year and leave you all in my dust. Sorry chaps, but I’m forging ahead regardless. Consequences be damned!!
My Suffocating Gravetide for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City, to replace the cardboard token.
And a rarity - the unreleased Skaven Mechanic for Warhammer Quest. There aren’t many of these around, and I’m hoping the bubbles of metal at the tip of the wrench and on his right hand aren’t signs of re-casting. The eBay store I bought this from only had the one… and I haven’t seen an inordinate number of these crop up online to make me particularly suspicious:
So I’m now at 63 models painted for the set (since starting last year)… I’ve got all the bases painted on the remaining 62 models, and skin tones on the other vampires so far. Still going to be slow for a while!

Thanks(?) to @Zanko I’m the recipient of 15 new Dark Elf models (cheers my friend!!). The remainder of the legion of pointy eared despots are being shipped to @Xander in the next few days… so I’ve added +15 to my pile
One of my girls picked up the Centaurion Marshal for my birthday last week, which I’m excited to convert into a Bull Centaur, but need to start shopping around for a better sized helm and hands:
Still painting… these are from the group I’m painting up for Cursed City. Bases are slightly different from the set, but I’ve stuck with the same colour palette for the bases nonetheless.
Only a few bad guys left to paint and then on to all the hero models.

[Edit] In case anyone misses it… I always update the first post in this thread when I post updates. There’s a tally up there with my trusty Hobgoblin BATG tally slave keeping score for me
Crossed the threshold… I’m officially at -1 for my 2025 BATG score!! Now I have to keep up the painting before any more models come through the door. Thank goodness the Cathay stuff is still a ways away at the moment
Two more models for Cursed City:
A converted wizard to represent Morrvahl Olbrecht, a character from the Cursed City novel (I got his character card when I preordered the book at the same time the game released)… plus a Necromancer.
Almost made it through April but found a trove of old Citadel miniatures that required a few hours of rummaging through. Wish I could have bought all of it, but I came away with these plus 3 other old Citadel Chaos Dwarfs:
Not much happening in the purchasing or painting landscape for June/July this year. As of the start of August I picked up a new model for a conversion project I’m working on - a human sorceress, after removing all of the sea-themed details:
To start addressing the glut of models this year I needed to start painting in earnest, but I didn’t want to go totally lazy so I still spent a decent amount of time on these over the past week or so:
