Thanks @Antenor - I bloody love a flat surface. I even refrained from covering it in chequerboard or a giant eyeball…I mean I did chequerboard on the shields but I have to do it somewhere :man_shrugging:t2:

Your painting is just delicious, love the yellows and oranges you do. Looking forward to seeing that Bloodthirster, I have the same model sitting in my to-paint-pile.

I’m thinking I totally want to steal your Taurus colour scheme for my Destroyer

Lord Oxymandias slumped in his throne. For months he had been locked down in his bastion unable to leave due to the ravages of the plagues that infested his land. There seemed little hope…

Then from above he heard a great horn blow. “A dragon approaches,” squealed a goblin running into his court. Rushing to the doors and flinging them open Oxymandias beheld an awesome sight.

A great blue drake descended, crashing into the ground. Upon its back sat a chaos dwarf from a far away land. “The lizard king sends his regards,” spoke the warrior.

Oxymandias cracked a smile and then exploded into a cruel laughter. “Come, come my friend,” he said, “I have been confined in this fortress for many a month. You must tell me tales of the comings and goings of your land. Stoke the fire! Break out the ale and someone feed that snivelling goblin to this magnificent beast!”

@Zanko very kindly sent an ambassador to join my warriors. What an amazing gift!!! Zanko what I have sent in return pales in comparison as my hobby stuff is still 90% in boxes.

Always amazed by the generosity and comradeship on this forum. It’s been a crap year for most of us but this site has been a little bit of light in the dark. Thanks Zanko. I’ll make sure I feed it plenty of elves :metal:t2::metal:t2::metal:t2:

Yes - an ambassador programme. Both armies sending a representative to the other. I’m afraid I only had very little to hand and was somewhat blown away by what Zanko sent me! My ambassador is not as impressive as his!

I think it’s such a cool idea, painting a model for another gamers army.

Great to see this picked up again! A diplomat on a dragon is… eh… making sure you get your point across.

“So how’d that session with the ambassador go?” - “Oh, he made us a very kind offer. We’ll send them a thousand crates of our best steel, and in return he will try and make his dragon hold in his sneezes while he’s staying. Can’t say fairer than that.” :14:

I am pleased that you like the ambassador very much. :grinning: By the way, I liked the story a lot, it makes me eager for more!
