@Zoddtheimmortal: The Great Emissary Exchange is a CDO tradition that was started in 2014 by @MadHatter after I brainstormed potential prize donations for the first proposed Scribe’s Contest. The little prize idea was that donors could send a representative of their particular army style since we have such a fantastic variety on CDO, but @MadHatter immediately saw the true potential of miniature ambassadors.

Ulthuan.net did by the way have a vaguely similar thing going on called Secret Santa, where collectors surprised each other with a painted miniature.
