Re painting my classics

They look great! So much character. I think you should do a big horde base a-la-blue. Theyll look even better at 10 wide. Im trying to build 2 units of 40 myself.

@Zoddtheimmortal yes I have about 40 so a horde is def what I’m working towards.

These guys look brilliant in a unit, and clams banner bearer really fits in well, great work!

Yes clams model fits so very well and it was a delight to paint. Glad I got my hands on it a few years ago.

I am painting 5 centaurs right now and I notice it’s a bit much in one go. Normally work on 2-3 at the same time Max (and then some other stuff) that works a lot better.

Have finished 3 smaller models while I got distracted. Including this beautiful one. (Better pictures soon)

It’s been too long!

I’m still struggling with the centours but they are coming along nicely.

Finished this guy. Will edit in more when they are done.

Beautiful work, and a real trip down memory lane. So many classic models.

Having trouble finding the focus but finally finished the centours and a few more. Still need to take some proper photos but these are done already:

Having fun adding eyes at random places (and many Shields).

Made this as a filter. Will make more.

I’ll try to make proper pictures of the new centaurs as a unit.

Back from not painting miniatures and back from painting some orcs I wrote a list for a doubles tournament and included a model I thought I had (a classic bull) couldn’t find it, just a damaged head so why not get some Milliput and fix the rest right. Here is the result:

And here is the work in progress:

The wings are (plasticard and) both pinned and magnetic for better transport. I should have done some work on the underside as the model is pretty tall (mostly cos of the base).

And work on the rider:

I wanted him to go well with the rest of the army but also have loads of weapon options so he has 3 arms (or well 2 and a tentacle) so he can have about anything but a pistol. Just as with the bull only his head is really Games workshop stuff but in the end I gave him a funny scull on top as that fitted better with the 3rd edition stuff then the detailed original (:

Lovely colours on the taurus, much better than the normal red. Great job

And 3 more Centaurs. Old conversions with a new layer of Milliput and paint. 13 painted now. So I can use them as the small and the big ones as long as I put them in the right base.

And as a unit:

Some more crosbow sculpts to fill up the unit of classics and just because 2 classic gobbos to go with the unit of chaos dwarves as they are lovely miniature and I felt like painting them but have enough goblins already all painted up.

It’s funny. I should paint stuff to my Gobbos for an upcoming tournament but I’m having more fun painting these so there is more stuff on its way.

I like your sculpts, very old school styled. You made those night goblins look like chaos goblins with those colours. Very nice

This classic had been in my collection for wat to long. Took me to repainting my army before it saw any paint.
It’s an classic metal ogre so it’s going to be the slave to go with the earthshaker canon (that I still need to paint)
Loved painting it. So much detail.

Tournaments are happening again but just finished a Gobbo general I’ve worked on for years so it’s greenskins for now. Still painting the chaos dwarves is so much fun so will be working towards a functional army of some sort.
