So this one was interesting, I think the original shields that came with these 3rd edition models had holes in them. Only had one of those and had already used them. Luckily I had already begun making them custom plasticard shields and drilling a hole in one was not a big deal.
Unfortunately the bit that went through wasn’t a nice spike or shape but just an ugly blob and as I didn’t want to remove any excess material from the model I used a tad of greenstuff to turn the blob into an eye.

So happy I painted am eye on the unit banner, didn’t think this through, this was just a happy accident (:

Another quick update. Finally finished updating and fixing the battle damage of the Hobgoblins. The unit was actually almost finish 2 weeks ago but then I knocked the tray of my desk and I was to frustrated to round them up.
Lighting is not so good so I’ll make better pictures later.

Yes and now I’ve misplaced my big backdrop so more pictures of the unit will have to wait but the varnishing of these beauties is just dry.
Somehow I enjoy painting these crossbow men even more as I’ve never done then before only have a few and they are very characterfull.
And this guy.
Think l painted about 20+ now so more unit pictures to be made.
Have more so will keep painting. Used to play them as a horde but having two units of 20 one with great weapons one with hand weapon and shield looks better on the cabinet d:

So I finished these guys:
Brining the total of wolfboys up to 6. All wolves are metal, not all wolfs are GW.
I would promise a unit pic but then I realised I got the colour scheme wrong of this guy:
His hood is red… But the others are all purple/white in one way or another so he will get a bit of extra paint slapped on him soon.
And just to show I’m no stranger to making mistakes like this. Of course my unit banner should be green not blue as green if the colour of an the magic flames and such and just looks a bit better (or will I think so)
