Slaughterers Unleashed

Is it a mask or a stone face :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:. We don’t know.

Quite so! Nice touch. :ok_hand:

You could add a bowl to the end and turn it into a magical hash pipe, just saying.

So a small update here. As I will be starting on a new project codename Leviathan in January, I’m going to rework my CD armies idea

I’m going to stop plans for a second display (what would’ve been another half of an army) and cram 15 of the 2 hand weapon dudes, a mixed unit of blunderbussers and flame throwers, a sorcerer and a rocket launcher all on the same board with the other models.

Leaving dreadquake, a unit with spears, new bull centaurs, ashen elder, 25 infernal guard and dominator with maces and hobgoblins as a long term future project, I don’t own most of that.

Sad not to do the LED display base either. Maybe for drazhoath or a Taurus lord

Also I’ve decided on the sorcerer weapon end a flagellant mace with the spikes painted magical green

Zero chance I could paint the pupils on this dude. But it’s ok. Overall happy with the aesthetic, a dwarf, with clearly chaos vibes, with some classic CD colours and patterns.

I might actually get a second version of this guy for a battle standard bearer, without the horns and completely resculpt the beard. And no gun.

Also, for future reference, If it makes sense and there’s space, to get this bottom guy from the chaos apostle set and replace the legs with some kneeling ones, to get him to sorcerer height.

I also came up with a good idea for the Taurus, which would be tricky to pull off…. To treat every armour panel in the body and legs as ablative armour, meaning I’d need to separate every plate and joint and put some mechanical joint etc between. Sounds possible?

Very nice Despot!

The armour thing sounds like wow a project, bit it sounds like you have a vision! :flexed_biceps:

Unusually for me, I’ve actually completed something! In this case the spearhead set.

The female crew got repurposed for warrior. The star hub caps I think are from the chaos rhino set.

When I do the rocket launcher I’ll assemble the body and wheels as standard, but I’ll think about a reloading mechanism.

Only just noticed that Bull helmed Demonsmith conversion :skull1:

This looks amazing all painted up my friend, does the gunner at the back have a sculpted helm?

Also really love that Despot, black armour and red scales really suits the mini

Yes I had to something to even out the height difference. The hellsmith has a bull helm and a bit added under his feet.

And the guy at the back has a sculpted head to bring him down a bit

I’ll add this here for now, but technically it will be part of a completely different collection/army.

My second group of chaos dwarfs will take a long time to build, and I’m not sure of the colour scheme yet.

However, it will start with a unit of blunderbusses and I’ve got a funny idea for a musician. It’s going to be the infernal cohort Hobgoblin with a rocket on its back instead of a gong!

The rocket will have some slim whistle type tubes on it.

Nothing says music like a flying explosive screaming slave right!

Oh my god, Grim! It is soooo nice to see you working on evil dwarfs once more! Yours was one of my favourite armies back in the day and… this one is shaping great too! Your Centaurs are epic.

Completely agree!

I really love those shield icons/daemons you’ve sculpted too. Awesome stuff.

I need to get painting my Helsmiths.

Just for the sake of completeness. Adding to my blog. Leaves me 5 hw&shield, 14 double hand weapons, a character, then my first display is complete for models.

Another great entry this one Grim, I really like the fire on top of the hats :fire:

Less interesting I know but I also really like the black and yellow trim you did on the cloth
