Yeah, it’s sad but not really a problem for me since all 4 spells I mentioned are very versatile and give great synergies to our army I think. There is nothing more satisfying than teleporting a fat brick of Blunderbusses right in front of a Dragon, putting some Plague of Rust on him and say, c’mon!

Fun combo i noticed on the lamassu:
Enchanted shield, its cheap. Gives a shield so 4+ save and since the lammasu makes attacks from magic weapons in to a non magic hand weapon so a 6++ ward will always come in.
Not as good as Talisman of protection 5++ but only 10 points and the extra armour is great

I could swap the lore familiar for mantle of stone or level 4 then go with deamonology for combat

I dont think you are allowed shields on sorcerers sadly

Its a magic item, doesn’t say it Enchants a shield or requires a shield to be taken, so should be fine?

Magic armour
Only a mode lthat is equipped with (or that has the option to be equipped with) armour, a shield or barding may purchase a magical equivalent. A model can only wear a single suit of armour and can only carry one shield, and a mount can only wear a single suit of barding. Therefore, magic armour replaces any mundane equivalent the model is, or may be, equipped with.

Whats your thoughts on this list?

I would never leave home with a lammasu without its breath weapon. The Mace tail is debatable but the breath weapon is about the strongest in the game for just 15 points. When you hit your first unit of heavy cav in the flank with it you will know what I mean (preferrably with Plague of Rust on them, too).

The list looks ok but for 10 IG you really don’t need the Ashen Banner. You can shave off some points from that unit to buff up the Black Orks.

And give your Warboss at least a shield. In a competitive environment you will need this 2+ save against poison shooting. You can give him the Enchanted Shield for a 2+/6++/5++

The Demonsmith is nice but you will have an 18" bubble on the Lammasu anyway so you could shave him off as well. Better invest in some Sneaky Gits or some more Hobgoblins.

I was toying around with some lists for an upcoming event end of june and need to practice with a few units and tactics. Only got a few games with Chorfs undrr my belt so fa and need more experience.

I’ve had good success so far with: Blunderbusses, Lammasu, Hobgoblin Khan with Ruby Ring, Sneaky Gits, 10 man Hobgoblin darts, Blorc on Wyvern.

Mixed experiences with: Iron Demon, Fireglaives, Infernal Ironsworn, Deathshriekers, Bolt Throwers.

Bad experience so far with Castellan BSB, Sorcerer Prophet in Unit

Have not tried out yet: Bull Centaurs in any form, Dreadquakes, Hellcannon, Dark Magic.

Had better results with Elementalism so far, struggling with Demonology. Maybe the Wood Elf Player in me shines through here.

In this build I want to try out the Blorc on Chariot to keep him safer from mass poison shooting. Also lots of gits to screen, shoot off chaff. Armour of Destiny hurts pointswise but a 4++ means a lot against shooting. And if a cannonball or 40 poison shots hit you that Mantle of Stone is gonna do nothing.

Yeah i agree about the flame breath and Elementalism (rust and dimensional pathways) which means dropping something to get lore Familiar to get get the right spell.
Apart of the slow grow campaign is needing 4 characters so cant drop the deamonsmith and can keep him with the artillery firing missiles would be best.
I could swap him for a foot khan to sit in a hob gob blob?

Oh, in case you need a 4th character just stick with a lvl 1 or 2, maybe with Dark Magic to Doombolt around while staying back.
