Many of you know I have a sizeable and unpainted skaven horde. I vowed to turn it into a painted skaven horde as soon as possible, and with BATG 2022 being so big I decided to paint loads of rats.
This blog will show the progress of my skaven army. It’s going to be heavily updated starting Q2 '22.
The first unit to be finished is a unit of 40 clanrats.
Nice colour scheme and basing! Very fitting for the army.
Love this color scheme on rats! Gives them a primary color but they still seem like dirty drab rats.
Three hours! That would take me closer to three days.

Finished some giant rats today. I have a mix of large metal, large plastic and small plastic rats. I removed all the molded bases they had since that looked horrible on my bases. The large rats all lokked like this
I might at some point print a few 3rd party rats to add even more variation but for now this is it!
I will be playing a 1.5k pts game of 8th ed on the 29th of May and i plan on using skaven. Although I’ve painted nearly 300 skaven already… the list i made uses barly any of those… go figure.
i need 30 stormvermin, 10 gutter runners, some weapon teams and characters, 2 warplighting cannons and more…
first unit, the stomvermin are done!
and the gutter runners wil be soon enough.
