I converted the nice new Squigboss with Gnasha-Squig into a Skarksnik-kind of WHFB character. I actually made rules for him to use as a special character in a campaign, but more about that at a later point.
The achilles-heel of the original model is clearly the hat. Much like a Chaos Dwarf actually, a Night Goblin Boss of any standing needs an imposing hood. Luckily my bitzbox is up to the task. Actually on twitter I saw a guy making basically the same conversion with the same bitz, he actually put the hood on the wrong way. That was the thing which makes this conversion work. Thanks, mate!
It’s a nice model and I am quite happy with parts of it, but I kinda lost my momentum a little bit in the end. I powered through and now call him done, but honestly he could probably use a little more work for such a centerpiece model.
Interesting! Yes, the lack of trolliness for the giant is a shame for the proxy, might make up some rules and ask my gaming buddy what he thinks. But imho regen is very powerful, might be overkill on the giant
Exactly what I thought, until I charged one with my High Elf prince on Dragon (might even have been a star dragon) and after rolling his dice my opponent informed me that he would be dealing 2D6 automatic wounds with no armour saves to my dragon and killed him in one go.
Oh it was epic, no question. Have a lot of respect for giants since then. Killing monsters for sure is one of their main attractions, and that’s something my Night Goblins struggle with, so he‘ll definitely see his battles.
