Bert and dinky dee (a down on his luck lammasu). After getting his last sorcerer rider killed and losing his horn to a dragon he had to lower his standards and take on bert…a non magical fairly average chaos dwarf with not a lot of brains but big balls…
I wanted a mini helm lammasu to have a hero level character to race around the flanks. Its a bit scary for me to have my sorcerer lord getting shot at on a lammasu.
Definitely a few things i could have done better with this…but glad its done!
I finally finished the last 5 members of this max mini halfling marauder unit (looks like i got an extra one).
The vallejo matt varnish has given an annoying sheen to them though.
I found these guys hard to paint but pretty happy with them.
Finished my 1st 80s themed chaos dwarf centaur proxy
The stats/rules and size of the centaur seem a closest match to a goblin chariot. So a small chaos dwarf chariot or cart seems a really good fit. Obviously i need a unit of them now…sigh
As always love your colors and paint style. Your army is really coming along well. Nice proxy for the bull centaur. Would not have thought of that. And your proxy kdaai work very well!
One of my favourite chaos dwarf sculpts: the rider is sculpted by sjoerdo and available on his evil little bugger website. He makes a fitting combat orientated sorcerer.
Cheers antenor. He is a lovely model full of character…however i found it impossible to focus on properly for a photo with my phone camera! I think the hat pointing to the front caused chaos for the stupid phone.
The horn placement means the hat must go forward rather than side to side
I assume he is an admiral ? I am totally clueless whether that is an army higher commander or a navy one
Haha, indeed, I already encountered that problem while trying to get photos of the sculpt! I suppose a professional sculptor would’ve thought of that
I called him “The Major-General” (as a nod to the opera character), but as with any miniature in your army, he is exactly what you decide him to be! His outfit doesn’t really point one way or another. In any case, you chose a great colour palette (as per usual)
