Loki:

Good idea with the plague monks scrolls i forgot about them, good idea also about converting a model for your cd lord on foot, i have done the same for mine but have never had to use is luckily

Da Crusha:

here are some updated photos of my chaos dwarf blocks sneaky gits and wolf riders

Bolg:

Ha, I was just discussing those chaos hounds as mounts for marauders/hobgoblins. Looks good but I assume you’re not finished painting?

Da Crusha:

oh no, not even close to finished, Im even using blue tac to hold down the riders:). I want to magnetize them so I can keep using them in my VC’s and WoC armies

Borador:

Such nice classics! must have those :open_mouth:

Keep it up! :cheers

Loki:

Great work on all of the units  good idea to magnetize the riders great for getting the most out of your models

Da Crusha:

Ive been looking at the pictures of my dwarf units and I think the miniatures look a lot darker in person, not so shiny…

Loki:

Its the light when you take the photos, it causes metal colours to look brighter than they are, when i take photos of models with allot of gold it is looks really bright but its just down to lighting

Da Crusha:

I started magnetizing the riders on to the wolves today. I got one wolf done and all 10 riders. I had to be really careful to make sure that all the magnets went on the right way otherwise it would be nearly impossible to get them out without destroying the mini. I used a permanent marker to help me keep track of which way I wanted the magnet to go in. tomorrow Ill probably finish the wolves. The riders sit really well. I also made sure to put the magnets in deep enough so you can’t see them.

Da Crusha:

here are some pics of my magnetizing progress

now I just need to put a little bit of green stuff to cover the magnet on the wolfs back and then patch up the paint and the wolves will be ready for double duty.

dncswlf:

That really is genius! Where did you get the tiny magnets?

dncswlf
http://www.gaussboys.com/ is a good place.

Da Crusha:

Ive had the them for a while but I just stumbled on it on ebay and decided to pic up a bunch. they are super strong and cost about .15 USD each after shipping. originally I used them to have interchangeable arms on my 6th ed dwarfs. I put them in all of the shoulders of a whole unit so I can field them with hand weapons, great weapons or crossbows.

dncswlf:

Awesome! Thanks!

Loki:

Great work that has worked out really well

The Brain:

I have to tell you man that I love what you have done with the gnoblars, they makre great hobgoblins. Once again you taurus is awsome.

Da Crusha:

thanks for all the compliments guys

Da Crusha:

Heres some progress on my other earthshaker

I also made some earthshaker and animosity counters

I want to put models on all of these. the earthshaker counters will have cracks opening up under their feet, handgunners dropping rifles, guys losing balance and crew dropping cannon balls. and of course the squabble ones will have greenskins fighting each other. all though… I have been looking at the impact halfling hot dog vendor, he could be a nice reason why the hobgobbos are squabbling :P.

Loki:

Ah the classic earth shaker what a great model, now i have my one its used in every game, i like the fact that something that small can do so much damage

Great idea making the earthshaker and animosity counters cant wait to see how they turn out

Da Crusha:

I had to make the counters. I always hated saying “oh wait they weren’t supposed to have moved” or “I could have counter charged If I remembered THAT unit was shaken!”
