Ishkur Cinderhat:
That’s a good idea. I might actually try to do that. Properly aligning the body halves then might be tricky, though.

Xander:
Make some notches, like GW does. After all, they split it vertically too.
Ishkur Cinderhat:
Yeah, but I have to sculpt them on after sawing the original body into two parts. I’ll think about it.
torn:
you could just drill holes in it and then pin the casts through the holes with wire or rod.
its easy to et the holes in the same place, just dab a small blob of paint on one side and put them together, hey presto both sides not have small blob of paint in corresponding place. Its the method i use for pinning large models and it usually works very well.
alternatively you just just use this method on the finished cast halves to get them lined up properly.
CtoTheD:
Those are fantastic you are displaying skill of the highest order and you are doing the C to the D’s very proud. If and when u decide to sell these fantastic piece i will be more than willing to buy a load off you cause I can honestly say any atempt i would make on bullcentures would be abismal next to my purposed Chaos Dwarf conversions
Keep up the fantasic would and make CtotheD proud baby!!!
Ishkur Cinderhat:
At last, I have finished the hands and weapons. This is something I haven’t done a lot, so I don’t feel too comfortable with it. That’s why it took quite some time. But these pieces are now ready to be cast and then I should be able to present the finished bull centaurs within the next few days! ^^
Options are a shield, two hand weapons (both for the right hand) and a great weapon. The latter will fit on one torso only, the other things can be combined freely.
Kera foehunter:
those are perfict!! i like the curve in the two handed axe
hal:
The curves are great, what’s the design on the shield going to be?
Canix:
Nice hands and handles whats going to be on the other side of the shields?:hat
minty:
they look great Ishkur, when are you gonna treat us to some painted ones?
Ishkur Cinderhat:
The shield is plain - just with some decoration on the rim - you can see the original sculpt here - I removed the skull and lightning now because it looked crappy and it will offer a lot of space for any painted-on designs. ^^
I’ll try to assemble them today and paint them during the week. Thanks for bearing with me guys! :cheers
Obsidian:
Love the curved handles mate. I think it might be nice to add some grip on the handles in the form of leather wrapped around it or velvet maybe.
Arlon:
they look so fantastic

Weapons and shields should have intricatd decorations. Their the CD elite.

furrie:
it depens what kind of details, if a model has a neckless, belt or something like its oke, but shields needs to be blank so you can paint whatever you want on them.
Obsidian:
VELVET!? :oLol, sorry! Those were my secret Slaaneshi Cultist tendencies showing through!:P

Ishkur Cinderhat:
Wow, now that is a close formation! :o
It was kinda tricky to get them to rank up properly, but all in all I am happy with the final result. I need to do a lot less greenstuffing than I expected, the neck and the waistline where the torso and the bull body are glued together need some touch-ups but that’s it mostly. Now off to painting for the next days! :hat off
Merchant:
WOW :o those bullies are great
I look forward to see them painted
Cheers mate :cheers
