Hazkar:

nice army,really like your stuff

i had the same idea about useing the slayer as standard(was inspired by the black orcs)just not get a mini as bsb till now,but its good to see, that it could look so nice

Loki:

great slave pen it looks awesome

Willmark:

Pretty impressive thus far I might add, have some slaves.

Nicodemus:

From the Indy GT Chaos Dwarf book:

Morgok Hellspawn - The Daemogoblin of Vorag (WIP)

I started out with a Goblin from HeroQuest (I’ve got bags full of them) and the mouth from the head of one of GW’s current Goblin sprues… I’ve been using the noses for CD Warriors, etc and felt it was a shame that the rest of the faces we not getting put to use.  The arms are from a Tyranid sprue, and the skull is one of the ones that also came with HeroQuest.  In this case the skull is supposed to be the enchanted item The Skull Orb of Vorag, as described on p48 of the Indy GT book.  Will start with the GS on the rest of his body later…

And as far as the Obsidian Guard are concerned, am I the only one who has noticed the symmetry here and thought about going down this route?

Warhammerman:

Interesting goblin. Very nice.

Nicodemus:

Almost 5 months since my last update… took an unwanted break over the Winter from a lot of the hobby stuff and have been focusing on career manoeuvres.

Here’s my Great Taurus & Lord offering:

It’s the same bull that Maul used for his Great Taurus (made by a company named Schleich).  Still in the very early stages.

The rider is from Reaper (14337: Thunganir, Dark Dwarf Captain)

His ‘horse blanket’ is just there for shape. It’s going to be ragged chainmail and I’ve got a bunch of armadillo-style armour plates that need to go up his back after the chainmail is done.

The end of the sceptre is from the Empire Wizards kit.  I liked that it looked somewhat ornate and mechanical, but it needed flames to be chaotic.

I think the bull needs larger and more impressive horns as they’re not very threatening.  The rider’s chains will be attached to the nostrils and the Taurus will also be snorting out flames (I’m thinking of flames rippling up from his hooves as well, but we’ll see how he comes). His head and face are also going to get some treatment… armour plates, etc.

Zanko:

Holy Hashut! :o

Amazing! Stunning! Great!

I’m really very impressed! :hat off

I want to see your Taurus finished and painted! :cheers

I'm glad you like.  I'd like to see him finished too x.x

Would flaming testicles be too much on the Great Taurus? I mean... that would make him pretty "Great" maybe even a contender for "Greatest".  My wife insists that they're already pretty obvious and adding flames would be gratuitous ... but that was kind of the point. Maybe it's a 'guy' thing?

Here's my pretty simple Inferno Golem

In the meantime I plan to have him pull double-duty as a Blunderbuss unit filler when necessary.

Haven't decided if I like this guy or not yet. The barrel seems long, but that was the only way I could fit the bloodletter face and horns on the barrel.

Ultimately I'd like to field at least two units of 8x2 Blunderbusses or three units of 6x2. .. but I'll need another unit filler or two in order to accomplish that.  Blunderbusses are my favourite CD unit and if anyone out there has some extras PM me!!

Loki:

Great work once again, really like the Inferno Golem he looks great, keep the great working coming

Anonymouse:

The barrel does indeed seem a bit long: how about cutting off the Bloodletters’ horns and using greenstuff to model smaller ones? The face should stay though

What is that coming off the muzzle, btw? A flagellants’ head?

Great looking golem, though the barrel is a bit too sci-fi for my taste. It seems like a modern mini-gun, but the muzzle is nice.

It's flames coming from the muzzle of the gun and is going to look great when it's done.. although you're right, it's the top-most part of a flagellant's flaming head.

After taking the pics I've been thinking of shortening the barrel of the golem's gun but still keeping the muzzle on there... just taking out a section from the middle.

Time of Madness:

Love the blunderbuss conversion! Your army is looking great.

Time of Madness

Nicodemus:

Some modifications to the blunderbuss unit filler (the barrel will be getting some GS treatment later).

First attempt at making chainmail… turned out so-so.

and some slight Chaos Dwarfification

Unit of Warriors with Blunderbusses coming along slowly…

Extra unit filler… (sorry for the lousy pics) not quite half constructed, but the basic shape and idea is there.  Occupied by an Arcane Engineer (BFSP Slayer conversion)

Loki:

WOW :o thats one great looking unit filler, great use of the defiler he looks ace

Nicodemus:

Thanks for the comments everyone.  I spend so much time on here looking at everyone else’s work I feel like I owe it to continue to give back… and it’s just fun to put up a few WIP photos every now and again.

Sorcerer rider for the Great Taurus … and Holy Hashut I need to clean some mold lines!

Great/Daemonic Taurus

Alfract:

Looking great so far.

Baggronor:

Liking the blades on the BBs, Taurus looks suitably mighty too.

That Golem makes me want to do a 40k CD army  hmmmm…

Loki:

The face on the dwarf Sorcerer rider looks ace, really looking forward to seein more of him and his mount

Nicodemus:

Thanks again for the compliments all.  I really should have waited until today to do my update as I did a little more this morning to finish off a few bits.

Start of the armour plating on the Great Taurus

After chipping and spikes

More of the whole thing (with chains attached)

the unheard one:

That is seriously impressive,

maybe you should add some harness straps the the beast, cause the amour would fall off. Can’t wait to see more.
