MalornDK, as for painting yellow at a simpler level, how about starting with a white or bleached bone undercoat, add one or two layers of yellow paint to get a good coverage, mix in bleached bone or pure white in yellow and highlight, and then bind it all together with Gryphonne Sepia wash? Gives decent enough results for me and my mates to be well content with our yellow, even though it isn’t Scar’s dream results.
Never been a fan of the Centurion models, but yours loook gorgeous, not least the back shots with techno paraphernalia. And please don’t hesitate to share pro-level tips, on the contrary it can be valuable and give others a higher level to strive for.
Eldar might be in one of the upcoming Visions together with the Harlequins!
So my compressor broke down and i ordered a new one and got a wrong one, then ordered another one and that one took 2 weeks to arrive but here i am again back in business!
Here are some of the fists i have finished today and later tonight ill finish the last models from this commission so stay tuned for more!
I am also working on a big KOW Infernal Dwarf army atm witch i will post some pictures of tonight as well!
I can finally show you guys the scenery i have painted for Mantic Miniatures! These buildings are all customizable and they are really nice kits, i was pretty impressed with them tbh! Here is a link to the website: http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/new/battlezones.html
I like this terrain very much and a friend of mine sent me some pictures already a few days ago when it was not yet on the webshop. It is the best of the battle zone pieces from my point of view and excellently painted as well (quod erat expectatum).
I`m thinking about how this can be used, if it is fitting for Infinity or 40k. Aesthetically it would go well with my Mechanicum models.
Absolutely brilliant stuff. Very nice work. I get intimidated when I see any large surface that needs to be painted. Small areas are fine but I can never seem to get a smooth even coat across a surface, so I’m always impressed when I see such large things painted so well!
These all look great. Did you model the Abyssal Dwarf warmachines without their operators? I cannot tell for certain from the shots, but it looks like it. I haven’t seen those painted before. They came out great!
The use of the yellow with OSL on the mechanicum weapons and Glaive is also a nice and unique take. Most people go for green or blue with OSL.
The burn residue/oxidation on the tip of the glaive cannon came out nicely as well. Nice job on getting the colors to have a translucent feel to them with the metallic underneath coming through. My eyes expect to see the purple transition line much narrower between the gold/bronze and the blue, but I know the actual amount and depth of colorization can vary significantly. Well executed. Always a joy to peruse your completed projects!
