Goltor Lintrepide:

Awesome bull centaur !!! Keep the good work!

gIL^:

Mildly off-topic, but did anything ever come from your Troll-Forged adventure, Grim?

JMR
Dropped off Earth Much? :hat off Sham i was waiting ages for them.

Grimstonefire:

All stormvermin arms, unconverted except for scraping off any obvious fur.

Trollforged…  No, to be honest I would have had to entirely rework the models to my satisfaction anyway before taking them to a contract caster.  But in light of Bag’s problems with Titan I will have to give them considerable thought.  However they are made they will be once piece models (well, except those with shields).

What I will probably do is tidy up the greens for the troops and sell them to someone here.  If anyone wants them.

I haven’t been able to update this with anything new since the BC I’m afraid.  I’ve spent the last couple of months painting up WoC and for the next week it’s solid revision.  After this I want to paint up some nurgle knights, wolves, plague hounds from dire wolves and nurglings, as well as finish the chosen I have.

So aside from finishing off the converting of the BC above and my Forgefiend Iron Daemon conversion that’s likely to be it this side of new year on CD.  When my laptop died a couple of months ago, combined with a lack of serious sculpting for months and a more demanding day job, I’m afraid to say my interest in all things CD took a major hit.

Next year I will start anew and order a load of IG to finally have a decent sized unit or three.

If you want to give your sculpted lord a good home with an entourage of Infernal guard at his side and many slaves to beat give me a pm.

Anyway really impressed with your BC, Shame about the stats, Thing that size 5 years ago would have 6 attacks

Sri’hc the Slavelord:

I am about to start work on double handed weapons for my centaurs and this is great inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing buddy!

Grimstonefire:

Some early WIP shots of my Hellbound Iron Daemon, that may potentially also be a Destroyer depending on how I do the base (with one fitting inside another).

I’m a bit stumped as to how to do the ‘crew’, so they’ll probably just end up walking alongside.

Ignore the paintbrush holding him up. Until the two hooves I’m sculpting are finished I can’t easily stick him down onto a base for photos and he’s very front heavy.

Mr.Hardrada:

That is one of the better K’daii destroyers I have seen in my opinion. Good Job!

Admiral:

Most inspirational. Well done!

JMR:

I have to admit I find it a little hard to see everything well enough on the photos to appreciate all the work you’ve put into the model, but it looks great so far. Using the gatling gun as a chimney is a fun trick and I like seeing how good the plasma(?) cannons look. They don’t look sci-fi anymore at all with a barrel placed inside the maw. I’ll be using that someday. Flames look good and it seems like you perfectly manage to match the existing armour plating through the use of plasti-card and green-stuff. Very nice.

I’m a bit sceptical about the head, but I’ll refrain from judgement till I’ve seen more progress and better pictures

Mike Newman:

This is looking fantastic!

Mr Saturday:

Great job, that’s quite the conversion.

Skink:

I really dig your flames by the way! How do you make them? Would you consider making a tutorial? Because I’m having heaps of troubles in greenstuffing fire & such.

We are Legion:

looks like we had similar ideas, Grim!

Great work on it, though, I’d not thought to use that gun barrel as a smokestack! I may have to do that on my own Iron Daemon project after X-mas.

love the look of the flame you’re adding! I assume you’re building that long flame in stages, aren’t you?

Kera foehunter:

NIce work Grims… Need more green stuff * smile *

Grimstonefire:

@Skink.  sorry for the long delay getting back to you, but afaik all the fire tutorials I’ve seen pretty much are all along the same lines.  So any of them should do.  for the larger bits I pinned some wire, but other than that I just followed the guides.

Something new to my blog.  I’ve been working hard the last 6 weeks or so on my CD, but nothing that I’ll show just yet.

Something I would appreciate some feeback on though is this guy.  He’s the first of my Brotherhood using the IG body.  Notice the ‘evil’ cloak I was going about the other month.  I’m thinking I’ll paint it black or dark red with only a little highlighting on the faces.  So it’s sinister but not too distracting.

The runes on the shoulder need cleaning up a bit.

Xander:

Looks pretty awesome so far Grim! Nice work.
