Im considering getting one now as well lol. I knew i would when i started seeing painted ones appear. Isnt that symbol on the side of the coal container from a dwarf shield or something?

@pyro yeah it is, they had thise in 6th ed, maybe aswell in 7th&8th, not sure. Only difference is that the anvil isnt broken with vanilla dwarfs and it is with CDs

It’s going to be quite a while before it’s done.
What I’m doing is trying to make sure that there is a real difference in contrast on all the metals. So pure mithril highlights going to near black. Which sounds good (and it will be), but it’s proving very tricky blending the colours to look smooth.
This model strikes me as one that would be relatively easy (though very time consuming) to paint fairly well, but to actually make the metal areas look round will be a lot of work for anyone.
I think on the next one I get (which will be Hellbound) I’m going to paint the metals mainly black.
