[Archive] The Word of Hashut #12 - Deadline gone

Thommy H:

I was probably going to stick with the huge body of artwork we have from previous Words of Hashut, but I might have a word with a few of our artists now you mention it. We’ll also have to talk about presentation a bit further down the line.

Hashut’s Blessing:

Not a problem - whatever suits you bet. Presentation in general or for those?

Before I continue, Issue 13 is most likely to be Tamurkhan, although it depends how much SoM I get for 12. Regardless, if it’s Storm of Magic or Tamurkhan based, send it to me. Skaven should be something to bare in mind for this issue as well - WoH#11 said they will be seen next.

I’ve made a few notes now, but something I could do with is a copy of WoH4 (preferably low res), please? The links aren’t working for some reason, but I want to make sure I keep the high standard and have all of the previous issues.

If people have submitted artwork and it hasn’t yet been used, please send it to me as I can make use of it (if not this issue, then in future ones).

As ever, I’ll need Slave Pen questions - always sounds like these are hard to get, so asking for this over other things. Easy way to help out if you want to contribute, but dont have the time! Alongside this - need at least one hobgoblin picture, please.

Need pictures of completed models (whether pre-painted or post-painted). If you have them themed to Chaos Dwarfs and Storm of Magic, even better! Also, fighting characters on foot needed - fully painted for a particular section, others (and ones that don’t make it) get to be used elsewhere too. Also, a picture of a fighty character on foot (as in a drawing or something, rather than a photo).

People entering AC, please make notes on your entries and, if you can, a tutorial could be quite cool.

Any other rules development pieces would be handy as well - pictures and models for those pieces would be great too.

Tips and tactics for Chaos Dwarfs in Storm of Magic or against Tomb Kings or Skaven.

Someone willing to be in the member spotlight (PM me for this one), which will require some of your CD work (models/terrain, etc) and a picture of you.

Anything to do with Storm of Magic and/or Skaven would be great. Storm of Magic: it’s new and not been spoken about in WoH. Skaven: implied they would be the focus of the next WoH.

Thommy H:

HB: can I get your e-mail address? I’ve decided to do the scrolls as images, because that means you can literally just drop them where you want them and not worry about the format. But photobucket apparently resizes anything it deems too big and they don’t have sufficient resolution now so I can’t just put them in a PM. Anyway, the point is that I’d like to e-mail them to you as attachments.

Ta!

Hashut’s Blessing:

Sending PM as I don’t want it all over the web

Also, good idea with sending individual pics instead o them as a document, thanks.

ryanamandaanna:

What kind of Skaven stuff are you looking for? I have a little over 2000 pts painted and I’m halfway done with the building/painting article on the Dreadquake Mortar…

Xander:

After seeing this and realizing I have been absent for a while, I booted up Adobe InDesign and started experimenting and reading/watching some tutorials.

What program are you using to make this edition, HB? Perhaps if you organized all the content, I could lay it out using InDesign.

Do we have cover art for this edition yet?

Thommy H:

Did you get my e-mail(s), HB?

Baggronor:

Do we have cover art for this edition yet?
Unfortunately I got sidetracked doing the cover art for some puny webzine called Unseen Lerker or some such. I'll try and slot in the WoH cover next week.

Hashut’s Blessing:

ryanamandaanna: Only if it’s something to do with Chaos Dwarfs, please

Xander: Formatting was always going to be my problem, so if you wouldn’t mind making it all pretty and I’ll organise everything so you just fiddle with that stuff?

Thommy H: Can you resend, please? I think they got lost amongst others and got deleted in a mass purge.

Baggronor: Much appreciated, thanks.

Thommy H:

I’ll send them again tonight.

vulcanologist:

Finally got a night off work tonight so I’ll send some artwork without fail!

Hashut’s Blessing:

Thanks to both of you. Not going to be working on stuff tonight as I’m working on a local gaming club. At work for the next couple of days, so will likely do some, but not loads of work then.

Xander:

HB, I sent you a file sharing invite for a Google Doc, so that we can collaborate on the page breakdown and such.

Thommy H:

Did you get my e-mail his time, HB?

Hashut’s Blessing:

Xander: I saw - already did a little tinkering (then got told to go to bed, lol!).

Thommy H: No - not sure why not. Will PM you another e-mail address to send it to

Thommy H:

I have a better idea.

Hashut’s Blessing:

Received! Anyone got models/pictorals to send in yet, pease?

Admiral:

I can have it ready in at most two days time if you like, I’ve waited with writing the proposed article because I wanted to do some more drawings, including a Skaven vs. CD one. Those pieces should be finished this evening.

Hashut’s Blessing:

Admiral: send whenever you’re ready

Ugly Green Trog:

Would you be interested in my cheap and easy steppes hobgoblins tutorial? Not sure if you do modeling articles as I haven’t got round to looking through the archived issues.
